Well, all righty now ... there are places on this earth where justice has a fighting chance to prevail after all!! Urine van der Slut has just been yanked out of a cab in Santiago, Chile and arrested for his latest murder, so now I'm going to be praying like mad that this will somehow open the door to re-examine Natalie's murder. If nothing else, I'd like to think the prosecutor in this latest crime will address that murder under the doctrine of prior bad acts.

Somehow, I'm not all that upset thinking about the fact that criminals arrested in some parts of the world don't get nearly the humane treatment they do here in the States ... maybe the little creep will try to lie his way out of this one and someone will have no choice but to encourage him to cooperate.

nanci, murdering this Peruvian girl five years to the day after murdering Natalee, not only that but nearly the same way, is eerie beyond words. I almost want to say karma got him, except another girl died. I guess that just makes him a crazy murderer.

Fortunately, I don't think they're going to worry too much about whether he's crazy or not. This isn't Bleeding Heart, USA.

The only question will be what's left of him for Aruba to prosecute.

That's a good question to have.

I am sure there will be swift, hard justice for Joran. I doubt there will be anything left of him to prosecute when they are done with him.

My heart aches for the young girl that he killed. I think he has a past and it sends shivers down my spine he killed on the same day he killed Natalee.

Thank God we got this animal off the streets but still it was too late for me to say I feel satisfied with the outcome at all.

Peru didn't mess around. They were questioning and re-enacting the crime with Van der Sloot and he confessed. Beat the Peruvian girl to death with a tennis racket, broke her neck, because he says she looked at his laptop and saw information about his past.

Probably killed Stephany Flores for same reason as Natalee. Even drugged they didn't cooperate with this psychopath like he wanted.

Aruba should be proud of themselves.

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: Joran van der Sloot is said to have said "I did it." According to police in Peru, Van der Sloot confessed to murdering 21-year- old Stephany Flores. Joining us is Dan Collyns. Dan, what is the latest in Peru?

DAN COLLYNS, GRN CORRESPONDENT: Well, dozens of journalists national and international were outside the hotel where Van der Sloot was staying and where the body of Stephany Flores was found three days after her death.

They are expecting Joran van der Sloot himself to be brought there with the police as part of a reenactment of his crime. Police postponed because there were too many media. This comes a day after his late night confession to the murder of Stephany Flores.

And although the police just confirmed he confessed some of the transcript has been leaked in the local press here. According to that transcript, he allegedly broke down as he confessed how he returned from buying two coffees just after 8:00 in the morning, and to find Stephany Flores looking through his personal laptop and looking personal documents he said which regarded the previous allegations against him, and that he was a prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway five years before in his native Aruba.

And the report continues to say he flew into a rage. He shouted at her that she invaded his privacy and said she had no right to do so. She was scared she tried escape, and he says he grabbed her by the neck and proceeded to beat her. Ultimately, he asphyxiated her. And that's apparently how she died according to his confession.

Joran is an animal and I'm sure we will find he has killed more young women as we investigate his past.

They probably gave the dirtbag a few good smacks while questioning him too. No sissy's here like in Aruba!!!

Yes, Aruba should be proud of letting Urine go the few times they had him so he could go on to murder another innocent girl. I wonder how many more are out there Joran got mad at and killed?

On Bill O'Reilly it was stated that Aruba could have arrested Urine a while ago as they had him taped extorting money and they waited...... It was stated that the FBI was not able to make the arrest but Aruba could have.

I guess Aruba waited too long AGAIN.

Nice to know these facts....!!

Is Joran van der Sloot a killer?

The disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba was one of the biggest stories of 2005. Now five years later, the main suspect in her case, Joran van der Sloot, has been arrested for the murder of a different girl.

This time, the crime took place in Peru, where police found 21-year-old Stephany Flores murdered in a hotel room after she was spotted with van der Sloot.

Van der Sloot was never charged in Holloway's disappearance but on the same day he was arrested for Flores' murder, he was also charged with extortion for allegedly offering to give the location of Holloway's body in exchange for $250,000.

The Internet is on fire with questions about van der Sloot, Holloway and Flores. What happened in Aruba five years ago and what did Flores discover in van der Sloot's hotel room that led him to murder? Be sure to take our poll on the right-hand side of the screen and let us know what you think.

Lima, Peru (CNN) -- Joran van der Sloot was charged with murder Friday, acting "with ferocity and great cruelty" in the slaying of a 21-year-old student in Lima, Peru, according to court documents.

Van der Sloot also was charged with robbery in last week's slaying of Stephany Flores Ramirez, according to a release from the Lima Superior Court of Justice.

Judge Juan Buendia Valenzuela ordered that van der Sloot be detained and turned over to penal authorities while awaiting trial. He was transferred to a prison Friday afternoon, America TV showed in a broadcast.

The 22-year-old Dutch citizen was considered the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba, where van der Sloot lived. He has been arrested twice in connection with the case but was released for lack of evidence.

AMSTERDAM -- A Dutch newspaper that interviewed Joran van der Sloot in his prison cell in Lima, Peru, said Monday he has retracted his confession to the killing of a young woman there.

De Telegraaf said the 22-year-old Dutchman claims he only signed papers admitting killing Stephany Flores because he was intimidated by police and had been promised he would be transferred to the Netherlands if he confessed.

"I was very scared and confused during the interrogations and wanted to get away," the paper quoted him as saying. "In my blind panic, I signed everything, but didn't even know what it said."

Peruvian police said Monday they conducted a psychological evaluation of van der Sloot. The evaluation showed van der Sloot has a low tolerance for frustration and "doesn't value the female role," according to excerpts from the report, which prosecutors gave to a judge.

According to the document, van der Sloot "does not tolerate when someone tries to contradict him. It generates in him a challenging attitude." The report calls him "emotionally immature" and says that immaturity elicits strong changes in behavior that can send him out of control.

"He reflects a certain dominance over the opposite sex. He doesn't value the female role," the document states. It adds, "He presents traits of an antisocial personality" and is "indifferent towards others' well-being."

Despite this, the report says, "he doesn't show any psychopathological trauma that impedes him from perceiving and evaluating reality."

But Van der Sloot would not talk, citing his lawyer's petition to declare his confession void in the death of 21-year-old Stephany Flores, the court said in a statement.

Joran van der Sloot Accuses Police of Misconduct

Joran van der Sloot has filed a complaint of misconduct against Peruvian police officials, claiming he was wrongfully arrested and not given a translator when he was questioned for the murder of Stephany Flores, according to local reports.

In the complaint, the Dutch national, 22, says his June 3 arrest in Chile was executed without a proper warrant. He also claims he was confused during the interrogation because authorities did not provide an official translator, El Comercio reports.

"All this with the intention of pressuring me to accuse me of homicide," he said, according to a document obtained by Peruvian news program 24 Hours.
