My MO is definitely not to hurt or upset a victim's family members or loved ones. I only said that I personally believe (at this time-could change) that based on the evidence that has been made public and the narrow window of opportunity, the perpetrator of this disappearance is someone who was intimately familiar with Jennifer's routine.
What is YOUR theory on this case?

I would advise to check out websleuths- there are 9 threads of information on there from the day Jenn went missing, so a wealth of info that might help you catch up :)

New Push to Find Jennifer Kesse

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - The parents of a young woman who disappeared three and a half years ago are starting a renewed effort to find her this coming weekend. Jennifer Kesse went missing from her Orlando condominium near the Mall at Millenia in early 2006. Her car showed up three days later, but there was no sign of Jennifer.

Tips have slowed to a trickle, but her parents refuse to give up in their search. This weekend there will be a renewed effort to find her.

"What it's made up of is basically six or seven groups from around the state of Florida. They're total professionals and we're not even bringing in volunteers for this. It will be strictly a professional search," Jennifer's father, Drew Kesse said.

Interesting. Willoughby Mariano (wmariano@orlandosentinel.com), criminal justice reporter for the Orlando Sentinel reports that "A special panel [The Special Multi-Agency Review Team, or SMART] was created by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Violent Crime Squad to address the high number of unsolved homicide cases in Central Florida.".

They will be looking at Jennifer Kesse case on Wednesday, that is tomorrow. Orlando police say that "Florida Law Enforcement agents and analysts have already been working on the case", and through this review some with specialized knowledge may be able to help investigators.

No info will be released, but focus on a high number of unsolved homicides including Jennifer can't be anything but helpful. I would like to think that at least one of these experts would mention that the surveillance pictures bear nothing in resemblance to the official description given out of the suspect. It would be a start to get real about the suspect and who he might be.

wel, I hope you're right, Rainbow. We have spent a great deal of time analyzing those pictures and finding detail after detail that is consistent with each other, nothing inconsistent, and nothing like what the police imply in their past few brief releases of information.

I had always believed that Jennifer was out that morning trying to send that package off and was assaulted by a stranger, but I've had to adjust my thinking given the statements from UCFAlumni that Jennifer didn't call until after she left the condo, on her way to work, that she did overnight packages from work, and that she wasn't in a hurry to send the cell phone to her brother's friend, even though he asked her to overnight it.

Given that and no signs of struggle in her condo, then of course that only leaves an attack in her parking lot because there's no other place for her to have been assaulted once she is on the road and shortly after that placing a call to her boyfriend.

While most think it is an (illegal) immigrant construction worker and the surveillance photo is believed by police to be that of a short hip hop type latino, I believe that someone assaulting her in her parking lot is someone who knew her. Also as in Chandra's case, someone who knows the victim goes to much greater efforts to hide the body.

And of course, given that we now know that Hataway is suspected (there's an understatement) of Tracy Ocasio's disappearance, and that he hung out at the gym and other places that Jennifer lived near only two months earlier and visited, then that fits the kind of profile I would expect, as unexpected as a morning assault on a woman going to her car to go to work is.

I would think more likely that someone she knew was there to see her for some reason because she hadn't been around for prior three days, the weekend and Monday day. Probably more like stalking.

I wonder if they were able to ascertain Hataway's activities during that time.

Of course, there's still an armed bike patrol uniform to figure out as well.

The state panel told the Orlando police they were satisfied in the direction the Jennifer Kesse is moving.

What direction would that be? We hope we can nail this scumbag Hataway for Jennifer as well as Tracy?

I call that stuff happy talk. It's all I expect from these kind of people. What are they going to say, geez, Orlando, what kind of investigation is this? Nope, just brace yourself for happy talk when fellow professionals get together, at least for public consumption.

Was there insightful, in depth probing questions and answers exchanged in that review that brought some focus into an area or two that need answers?

I hope so.

Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Jennifer has been added to the NamUs Missing Persons System https://www.findthemissing.org/

This is a very good missing persons database from the National Institute of Justice funded by the Department of Justice.

A missing persons database as a companion to this site was going to be my first web site project but that isn't needed now. I will add a NamUs link for each entry in the Missing Women Summary thread. I need to complete those summaries too.

We saw that a person left threatenig phone messages for the Kesses a couple of years ago. The police know who it was, I believe it was posted that that was stopped, but now someone is sending threatening emails and posts on Jennifer's site. wow! How sick can you get.

Orlando Sentinel reports Drew blocked the IP address and notified police, and they have the emails and are investigating this for cyberstalking.

I really don't know what to say. I think anyone who makes repeated threats on someone's life is a sick puppy and going to act on their obsession.

To obsess on someone who has already lost their daughter to another person like them is psycho territory.

January 24, 2010, will mark 4 years since Jennifer was last seen or heard from, presumably Abducted from in or around her Orlando home. We, Jennifer’s family are announcing a NEW REWARD in the amount of $1,000,000 for Jennifer’s SAFE RETURN. The reward will be offered until 2/24/2010. We know that someone in this world knows what has happened to Jennifer.
