From www.findjenniferkesse.com
November 24, 2008 - 34 months ago Jennifer's journey into hell began-a letter from Jenn's mom
Surreal, that word continues to summarize best, Jenn's abduction.
Despite the active, ongoing efforts of multiple law enforcement
agencies, we still are without answers.....as to what happened that
fateful Tuesday, January 24, 2006. HOPE - one of the most powerful
words in the English language. FAITH and BELIEVE are important words
also. DREAM - we dream of the day when Jenn's hell is over, when
answers are revealed. MIRACLES - we pray for Jenn's miracle, two words
come to mind, Shawn Hornbeck, abducted at age 11 from Missouri on
10/6/2002---found on January 12, 2007!!!! More and more people are
found alive, yes, we are aware of the statistics against the miracle.
Someone has to be that statistic that defies the odds.......and lord
knows we are praying Jenn will be found alive.
Life goes on.....albeit with heartache and pain.....living is a daily
chore, a decision you must make, for if you choose to be angry, bitter
and miserable you have allowed evil to win twice, and to destroy you.
So....push to live to be as happy and functional as you can. This is
the message for all of Jenn's friends, colleagues and family and sisters
:-), live and laugh and remember , always. Be safe and pay attention to
your surroundings.
I miss Jenn more than I can put into words, her laughter, her wit, her
smile, her quirky ways, having intellectual conversations on everything
and anything. I miss shopping with her, playing scrabble, walking on
the beach, shelling....being together. I miss hearing her stories and
our Friday conversations as we drove home from work. I miss baking with
her, especially during the holidays. I treasure all the wonderful
memories and times spent together.
Thank you to each and every person, who continues to visit Jenn's
website, your messages of encouragement warm the soul. The countless
prayers give us strength and help tremendously. Please remember to pray
for all the missing and for all the law enforcement personnel who work
hard daily in trying to find answers for a family in pain. Enjoy the
Thanksgiving holiday, and be thankful for those in your life whom you
love and care about.
Awareness remains key, so again, thank you for continuing to spread the
word, here and abroad via the internet. Someone knows something, we
just must not have reached the right person, but we will with your help.
"The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up."

Thanks you for that heartwarming note from the Kesses, UCF, on this Thanksgiving when it is much easier for some of us to be thankful than others.

That's good news, Alum! Let's hope something will click with a viewer so that this case can be solved. _________________ "There is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known."

Nearly 3-year search for Jennifer Kesse continues

Nearly 3-year search for Jennifer Kesse continues
Interview with Joyce & Drew Kesse - 12/22/08
BRADENTON - The end of next month will be three years since Jennifer Kesse was reported missing. And while Jennifer Kesse was abducted in Orlando, her mother and father live on the Suncoast in Bradenton.
That's where they lead the search for answers to what happened to their daughter.
"Strong willed...very strong willed. She got that from both of us." Jennifer Kesse was just 24 years old the day she was abducted. "Our entire lives have changed. Some people think that it gets easier with time, and honestly it gets harder everyday."
What makes Jennifer's abduction difficult for the Kesse family is that they are left without answers as to what happened to her. "It is hard. There is no other way of saying it, but honestly it is hardest on Jennifer. We think what we go through and it is absolutely nothing compared to what she is or has gone through," says Drew Kesse.
Everyday for nearly 3 years now, the Kesse's have been drawing awareness to Jennifer's case. They say that the more people who look at Jennifer's picture and take a close look at the person of interest in the surveillance photo, it could lead to the answers they've been waiting for.
"Closure. To be able to have closure, to be able to grieve, to be able to heal you need to grieve. That is where we are -- in that limbo of not being able to grieve, and not being able to heal and not being able to move forward because we are caught in this limbo quicksand of where is Jenn and what happened to her. And she deserves and needs to be brought home," says Joyce Kesse.
The Kesse's have been very involved in helping families who have missing relatives. Earlier this year, they were active in passing the Jennifer Kesse and Tiffany Sessions Bill, which raises the age for a law enforcement alert from 18 to now 25 years old. And it says information must be released within two hours of a disappearance.
In the upcoming legislative session, the Kesse's say they are hopeful lawmakers will pass a law to enforce DNA testing of unidentified human remains.
If you have any information about the abduction of Jennifer Kesse, you can call 1-800-423-TIPS. To learn more about Jennifer Kesse, log onto www.findjenniferkesse.com. _________________ Help Find Missing Jennifer Kesse

I can't imagine the grief of not knowing where your daughter is, knowing she was taken away by someone. But I'm glad thr press still cares enough to let the Kesses express it.
I see Jennifer's case will be on CNN tomorrow evening, Christmas Eve, at 5 pm. I'll be getting off work a little early for Christmas Eve so I'll be able to catch it when I get home. I hope to see something a little better than was ever done for Chandra, which as far as I recall was only one goofy TruTV (or whatever) thing.
Like I say, I hope this is a lot more informative and helpful to the public. May the police get some calls from it.

Saw the CNN Headline News show at 5 pm tonight. Highly recommended. It will show again New Years Eve at 5 according to UCFAlum above.
Mike Galonos hosting, good host. Follows up on questions and asks intelligent questions while also being caring and empathetic to the victims' families.
Mike Brooks investigator and Pat Brown profiler featured guests. Both sharp people.
Drew and Joyce Kesse were interviewed. Really well handled, informative, helpful, touching interview. People knew what happened and what help police are looking for, identifying the suspect in the photos being one of them.
A couple of minor quibbles. The first was questioning about Jennifer's boyfriend. Problem is when everyone is so close to the crime they overlook some obvious things viewers wouldn't know. The boyfriend was said to be cleared (and good info about having been questioned and polygraphed extensively to be cleared) and that he was the last one to speak to Jennifer at 10 pm the night before she disappeared, they said he was in his own bed when talking to Jennifer, but viewers wouldn't know he lives in southern Florida and she in central Florida when they were talking, and that he went to work down there the next morning. That's really what clears him so easily versus people taking the word for it.
The other is that everyone was saying straight out that Jemnifer disappeared between 7:30 and 8:00 am, with no signs of struggle in her condo but didn't make it to work. As far as I know the only indication that Jennifer was there in her condo as late as 7:30 is the Kesses belief from examining her apartment based on the degree of dampness of her shower floor. And certainly not scientific about what time that was.
More importantly, Jennifer was not there to pick up her boyfriend's call at some early time, something like 6 or so, that she took every morning. He thought it was strange she didn't answer. It's these kinds of details that are overlooked and dismissed based on belief she was attacked walking out to car to go to work at her normal time. They don't even believe she made it to her car before being attacked, again, just because there's a strong belief she was attacked in her parking lot. And I think some of that is a lingering strong belief it was a construction worker who was working at the complex.
Dismissed was the fact that she had promised her brother (and his friend also in another call?) to overnight her brother's friend's cell phone left in her condo over the weekend, while she was gone, with her brother and friends staying in her condo for the weekend. Even though we know she was to ship it, there is no known way of when and how she was going to do that, and that is perhaps the most critical thing in this case outside of the suspect's picture. Yet completely overlooked and unmentioned because it doesn't fit in with strong biased beliefs on what happened, by most people, not just the family.
What it leads to is an imperceptible probably an illegal alien construction worker and probably fled the country thing. Just so wrong on so many counts, least of all that this is an armed suspect wearing a law enforcement uniform. Of course there was no mention of that, but I would have fallen out of my chair if there were.
Profiler Pat Brown did say she believed the suspect was armed to overcome Jennifer, and everything in her described profile agrees with my thoughts on it. He was local and carefully chose where he was parking it and reason for parking it there was probably hoping it would be stolen.
Now I understand entirely there is limited time and difficult to include tangents that may confuse people, so best to just show the picture and ask for help and act like she got attacked in her parking lot rather than saying they don't know when and where she may have left her condo.
But at least readers here should be aware of the subtleties of the facts of Jennifer's disappearance, and hopefully help identify any aspect of this suspect from looking at the photos in Blowup of Jennifer Kesse person of interest / suspect and Jennifer Kesse POI photo analysis links.
Please contact the Kesses tipline or Orlando police if you can identify anything in the pictures.

|
|
Recently I saw Jennifer's story on 48 Hours, and visited the website afterwards to see if there was more recent information. While there, I watched the surveillance video showing the POI and have a question about it.
Starting at 00:29 in the video, something 'moves' in the top right corner of the image showing the parked vehicle. At first, I thought it was the motion of the leaves of the plant (palm tree?) in the forground, maybe from a slight breeze.
Then at 00:31, something appears in the left corner of the rear window of the parked car. To me, it looks like a human face, as though someone was sitting on or in the back of the car, and facing the POI.
If someone was moving inside or on the back of the car, that could make the car move up and down slightly, and might explain the 'motion' noted in the 2nd para above.
Also, it's in this timeframe that the POI is looking back over his/her right shoulder, and would be turning his/her face away from anyone in, on, or approaching the car from the right.
I tried to download the video to look at it more closely, but couldn't figure out how.
Does anyone else see this? If so, can you determine what it is? |

Welcome RM. I'll add something here but there is a great deal of detail about the crime scene in this thread which may help if you haven't gone through it yet, and there is more in the Jennifer Kesse POI photo analysis links thread.
There is a swimming pool between the parked car and the gate and palm tree. The video is of the suspect walking from the car around the swimming pool fence and the stills are as he passes the gate.
The car is parked just to the outside of the swimming pool fence in the first parking spot of several parking spots down along the drive going further into the complex.
There is not a palm tree near the car. The angle of the video is from the roof the pool bathhouse and looks out past the car into the lane with parking on the other side as well.
Hope that helps a little. I was never able to see much from the video and can barely make out anything when I looked at awhile back. It was all very very dark for me, and I couldn't make out anything.
As for whether there was someone in the car, etc. there was nothing captured by the video camera of another person exiting as they have of this suspect.

The surveillance video I'm referring to is the one at:
http://www.findjenniferkesse.com/ under the heading:
"Complete Video of Suspect Released", which appears to be a link to an OrlandoSentinel.com page with the heading:
"The new video in Jennifer Kesse case"
posted by John A. Cutter on May 17, 2007 4:32:19 PM
The vehicle in question is not Jennifer's at the beginning of the video, but the one in the background across from the gate/fence near the end of the video. |
