I agree Benn,
Sometimes i ask myself if im doing a good job as a parent, I give my kids lots of love and i tell them whats right and wrong, hoping they will learn and know that you cannot go around hurting people, to mention one of many things we teach our kids.
Just pray to god they turn out ok

A clump of brown hair was found Saturday in a trash bin at a gas station less than a block from the store where Mark Hacking bought a mattress before reporting his wife missing last Monday. But police say they don't know whether the hair was Lori's.
Detective Dwayne Baird, a police spokesman, wouldn't confirm or deny a Deseret Morning News report, citing unnamed sources, that a bloody knife with strands of hair was among items taken from the Hackings' apartment.
``We took a lot of things out of that apartment,'' Baird said. He said police were still waiting on test results from a search of the apartment and surrounding area _________________ Heaven |

That's nonsense that a bloody knife was found in their apartment. Rumors like that are to be expected. Heard it before with blood in Peterson's house, blood in Chandra's apartment, and on and on.
Blood was found in their apartment according new Fox News, but the guy didn't ditch everything else and leave a knife in the apartment. This would confirm he was crazy which some people apparently think is the case. He's a cold blooded nurderer.

No doubt about it, Heaven. That's what the little jaunt outside a motel naked was for.

It so crazy, I don't understand how they can't see that..but then again how can they be sure,....their favorite word, "we need proof"
I hope im wrong, i hope Lori turns up, but i don't think so, unfortunatly he has killed her, and he will get away with it, like OJ and like Peterson is trying.
Poor family they must be devestated. _________________ Heaven |

Somethings up....
This is the first I've heard about the "apartment manager" situation. If Lori and Mark were the apartment managers that means that they may have been the ones to collect the rent from the other tenants and then forward it on to the owners. If that's the case, is any money missing?
Today's news really makes me think that the cops either have a body or a confession or another explanation...

It's not hitting CNN or Fox News yet, James. Sounds like you've got something breaking there. And they're going back to the landfill with cadaver dogs.

| This world on the planet Earth is not "becoming" anything, i.e. its always been people, mostly male people, killing innocent other people, both male and female, adult and child. ALWAYS! The difference now is that since previously oppressed and/or marginalized groups, esp. women, have actually gained some voice and some power (which they fought tooth and nail for), men cannot get away with things like they once did ( for twenty centuries). This is fact. Just sheer fact. If you don't like it for whatever reason, sorry. Another group that's benefitted from an increase in voice and power is African-Americans. And children, definitely. For example, do you know how poor children were treated in Dickensian England ? That's why Dickens wrote, "Oliver Twist." For those who think the world is only just "becoming" harsh and brutal, esp. for the female of the species, I would suggest a few history classes and Women's Studies classes. In the meantime, Lori's in her grave and Mark's not. |

I just have to say that would totally baffle me skipper if there was a bloody knife in the apartment. It makes no sense to me at all. I can't even believe he stabbed her.
I hope that story is offbase. Otherwise we will have to try to explain it.

>>> Mark's not. <<<
true, kortnie ...
but now is not forever, so i'm not giving up hope yet. your points are all exceptionally well taken, and it's good to hear from someone who is not up to their eyes in nonsense like 'the nature of mankind is essentially good'. that is a truckload of horse manure, as it is the nature of the human being to put ourselves first and the hell with everyone else.
at best, at least some of us make a concerted effort to treat other people the way we would want to be treated, but even the most modern and civilized of us fail at that on a regular basis. i'm sorry to say that you're exactly right about the fact that we've been dealing with the same kind of rampant ego since human beings began walking this earth, and nothing is realistically going to change that until God's kingdom is established on earth. 'course, that could happen at any moment now, so ya nevah know how some of these cases might turn out, ya know?
keep your eyes on the skies 'cause we're getting there ...

I wrote to the police stating that Mark likely murdered Lori Sunday evening before going to work, his shift started either at 2300, 2330 or 2400, and he obviously worked 8 hours shifts. Mark likely had access to the incinerator at the Hospital or to their garbage, that the cadaver dogs be brought to the hospital and the incinerator area check by the dogs for a scent, and the landfill where the hospital garbage is stored. I would say that Mark was one busy boy before he went to work and when he got home. I think rd, that the knife is a little unbelieveable, however, it is possible that he cleaned the knife and of course he might of thought it was very clean, however, blood usually seeps into the handles the joint and it is almost impossible to remove it, this is the only way that I can see that he left it behind. I can only see the knife coming into play if Lori grabbed it to protect herself and she got stabbed in the process. With all the drugs that he had available to him why use a knife.
Heaven I agree she is likely inside the box spring matress. I can't bear to think that he cut her up, but perhaps.
I agree rd, that Mark placated Lori telling her he would fix it up on Monday
and of course she had to die by Monday, see never saw the light of day after midnight, she never saw Monday.
I think the family/friends should find the clothes she was wearing on Sunday, bet they are not there!
Fallout I bet he was stealing drugs, likely though not ones that would be therapuetic, likely ones to get him high, he looks higher than a kite in the picture which was taken at the party. Way too smirk for my liking.
Thanks for the information Heaven about Duke, yes it is a prestigious Medical school.
I think that Lori discovered at the party on sunday that Mark had quit school, she likely was suspicious and made tracks to find out, Salt Lake City is not all that large that this information would be hard to find out, not at all. All it would take is a call to one of his professors, or to his classmates, and likely she did just that, or asked someone at the party. Whatever happened was immediately after they went home.
rd. Yes it would be interesting to know if any money is missing. I still think that Mark has a girl or guy in the wings at Chapel Hill. I'm wondering if he did not get a job at the Hospital in the Psych department, good psych orderlies are hard to come by. He had to have something on the go there,no question in my mind.
If the police had not actually found the body the dogs have least picked up her scent in the landfill or something similar.
Heaven the definition of peripetia:
peripetia - a sudden and unexpected change of fortune or reverse of circumstances (especially in a literary work); "a peripeteia swiftly turns a routine sequence of events into a story worth telling"
Synonyms: peripeteia, peripety _________________ A vision sent me on the path of seeking justice for Chandra, nothing I've seen in print to date has diminished the vividness but only served to reaffirm the validity of this vision. |

kate, they have the mattress. It was in a church dumpster half a mile away. They got it a few hours after she was reported missing.
She found out that Hacking was not in medical school on Friday with a phone call to the school. He of course lied to her yet again. She would know Monday for sure when the weekend was over. Lori had to die before Monday is what was in that man's brain.
Cleaned the knife and kept it? Possible. They found where blood had been cleaned up. Hard to believe he kept it, but if he did I agree, he cleaned it up to try to remove the blood. Really hard for me to believe.
I doubt seriously about working Sunday night. He drove Lori's car to the park at five in the morning and ran back home in my opinion, saying instead that he ran the park route looking for her.

| Hey Propria, thanks for your endorsement. Sometimes the truth hurts, but, what good is nonsense?? I read a FoxNews update a few minutes ago, and -get this- Mark has asked for video games in the hospital to "help him pass the time." Has he gone completely infantile? I mean, I knew he was a dum-dum already, but...but...your wife's feared dead, you're the prime suspect, and you ask for...for...video games??? Am I not getting something here? It's like a baby being coddled in a giant playpen. Sheesh. |
