I understand this woman had a long term relationship with her millionaire bf but she brutalized him. The death scene is horrid, so much anger. He wanted to leave her and she decided to slaughter him. I guess being in her late 50's she may have felt there were not many opportunities left. Nobody deserves to die that way.

Reminds me of the Betty Brodrick story. Her husband fell in love with a younger woman while they were married and Betty could not handle being left. She stalked the new couple and eventually killed them.

The girlfriend of a self-made millionaire, whose body was found wrapped in plastic and bedding inside his waterfront Fort Lauderdale mansion, is being held without bond in connection with his death. Police said 56-year-old Catherine Pileggi killed her 70-year-old boyfriend, Ronald Vinci in the home they moved into two weeks ago.
Police said Vinci was stabbed multiple times, had his throat cut, was shot in the head and then beaten with a blunt object.

Investigators believe Pileggi killed Vinci because he wanted her out of his life after a 20-year relationship. His body was found on the floor of his home after police received an anonymous 9-1-1 call.
