It appears no matter what a woman does, leaves him, divorces him, etc she is not safe from her ex. Some of them just can't take no for an answer or do not want to pay child support or support to their wives. This is another horrible situation.

As we all know (as evidenced by the cases that are discussed on this board), some people are just plain psycopaths. There are a lot of people who also have untreated psychological disorders out there. And, some just snap. It is extrememly critical that the family court system (and divorce attorneys) becomes aware of these factors and takes them into account in the actions that are mandated by the court during divorces.
More people should be ordered to go to family and/or personal counseling and divorce attorneys should be punished for encouraging and/or particpating in destructive behaviors that are literally "destroying" the American family system. This way there might be a chance of stopping problems from escalating into the tragedies we are discussing here on the boards.

Counseling implies that you can talk sense to these silent ex's. You can't. Even a restraining order, especially a restraining order, doesn't work.

My suggestion is that in addition to felons on parole, those under restraining orders also need to be monitored with a GPS recorder. The woman in danger also needs to be monitored and like two planes on a collision course, an alert issued via outgoing 911 to the woman and other selected numbers if the man under the restraining order heads towards her on a collision course.

Economic issues such as working at the same company or living in the same house while it's up for sale are a problem, but financial gain is often also the impetus to make an inconvenient woman disappear. There needs to be enough separation with monitoring so that the man knows he cannot make her disappear with impunity as he does now.

I don't believe you can talk any sense into the silent ex at all. Many of them have been through counseling already and it is useless. I don't think the atty. can be held responsible for the actions of the client unless he/she has a way of knowing the person is a timebomb and then, what would they be able to do anyway?

You are right, they need to watch and GPS them, and the woman would have to go into hiding with these violent types. (and that is if they even know he is violent) Some don't even show that side of them till it's over and done with and they are left. We see that on the board over and over.

Good weekend all.
