It seems like a common way to get rid of your husband lately to use antifreeze. We have seen a couple cases to date where this method was used. I think this woman got off way too easy! I can't understand why the plea was involuntary manslaughter...

HARRISONVILLE, Mo. -- A 53-year-old woman agreed to a plea agreement Wednesday and pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the Cass County antifreeze death of her husband.
Prosecutors saida noted toxicologist who helped investigators develop their case against Michelle Hollis decided not to testify. Hollis entered the plea on Wednesday, just before the case was set to go to trial.

Poklis used new medical technology to reach findings that led investigators to conclude that Hollis had spiked her husband John Hollis's drinks with antifreeze.
An autopsy found a fatal amount of antifreeze in the victim's system. |
