Nearly a year and a half after Phyllis Davis disappeared from Detroit, her family still is hopeful she’s somewhere alive.
Davis, whose 49th birthday was Feb. 4, has been missing since September 2005. Her family has offered a $2,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts.

Even plastering flyers throughout Detroit’s east side, where Davis lived with two brothers, has yielded nothing.
“She’s been gone so long,” said Othelia Sanders, one of Davis’ eight living siblings. “Nothing. We’ve heard nothing.”
Davis was last seen getting into a car at a gas station near 6 Mile and Conant at 1 a.m. Sept. 20.
People with information about Davis’ whereabouts can call the Detroit Police Department’s Northeastern District at 313-596-1100. |
