rd,

Do you remember the "older" woman that had an affair w C man? She was interviewed by the Enquirer, I believe, the summer of 2001.

By older- I mean closer to his age- maybe 10 years younger. I think she was a few years prior to Chandra.

Too bad we didn't have access to those old magazines.

I think there's a section about her in the book that NE's publisher put out a few years ago.

The only one I can think of is PJ Whittingham that I referred to in the post, who was 21 in 1989, would have been 33 in 2001.

I didn't know of anyone else who was not around his daughter Cadee's age than Anne Marie Smith at 39, and based on what he was suggesting to her I'm not sure he didn't have other plans for her.

Oh wait, there was the woman who described the mutually consenting handcuff bondage with him. I'm not sure how old she was when with him.

Yes, I think you have it, rd! Thanks.

Thanks for the input Jane.

I'll have to see if I can find the story online and post it.

Found !

Condit's Plan to Get Rid of Body

Source: National Enquirer
Published: 8-30-01

A former mistress of Gary Condit has come forward with a bombshell revelation:
The California congressman had a secret "fix-it" team to dispose of a dead
body!

And now ex-mistress Susie Borges Rossi is going to tell all to the FBI,
shedding new light on the disappearance of Chandra Levy.

Susie told the Enquirer that Condit had a step by step operation in place to
remove and hide his own corpse if he were to die while having sex with her in a
hotel room, so that when the body was eventually found elsewhere, the sordid
details of his death would never be discovered.

Condit had a paid operative whose job it was to remove and hide his body-- or
his lover's-- in case of catastrophe.

Susie's shocking revelations are extremely revelant to the FBI because if
Condit had a plan in place to dispose of a body, he could easily have had
his fix-it team dispose of Chandra's body-- Permanently

"If he knows how to get rid of his own body, clearly he knows how to get rid of
Chandra's body," said Susie, who had a three year affair with Condit that ended
in 1991, and kept in contact with him until 1995.

"I have no doubt that he made Chandra disappear"

The FBI has contacted several of Susie's relatives in an attempt to interview
her about Condit, and as The Enquirer's investigative team found her she
revealed that she will now come forward and speak to the FBI, despite being
scared of Condit and his associates.

But she may also find herself appearing before a grand jury, because The
Enquirer has learned that a federal grand jury is set to look into Condit's
role in the Chandra case and subpoenas are being readied for important
witnesses.

An FBI source told the Enquirer: "A number of Condit's aides, associates and
former girlfriends can be expected to testify. This witness uncovered by The
Enquirer Susie Borges Rossi, could provide critical information before a grand
jury. The investigators have compiled a list of 33 women who have been
'associated' with Condit."

Susie told the Enquirer in an exclusive interview: "On our first date, Gary
slipped me his government issued business card. On the back was the number of a
woman I was to call if Gary died while we were together."

Even though Susie found Gary's instructions bizarre and scary, she will never
forget his words as he revealed his shadowy world.

"Gary told me this woman I was supposed to call, who was a member of his staff
at the time, would know exactly which documents in his office to destroy and
how to get rid of his body."

"He gave me a set of instructions to follow. First, he said: "Don't phone
anyone from the hotel room. Take some money out of my wallet, leave me where I
lay, call a cab, and go to a pay phone far away.

" 'Then call the woman at that private phone number. She will know how to
handle the press and what to do with my body before the police or press find
out about me'

"His exact words to me were: 'This is a private line for emergencies only.
Don't call the police, the paramedics, 911, no one. Just call this woman. She's
the one to call before anyone knows I'm dead. She'll take care of phoning
people and take care of my body. You don't do anything. Just get away. Fast.'

I had to swear to him that I wouldn't call for an ambulance or get help in any
way. He'd rather lie there dying than get caught by police or the press with
his pants down!

"Gary also made me swear that I'd never tell a soul about us.

"He said he picked me as a lover because I had a public position in the
community, and leaks of our affair could hurt my career as much as it would
hurt his," said Susie, whose high profile in Modesto, Calif., includied sitting
on the baord of local charities and volunteering for the Republican party.

"He said to me: 'I need to have that leverage over you to make sure you won't
tell. If people know about us, it would ruin you as well, because people would
know you've been having an affair with a married man.'

But what really frightened me about Gary was his plan to dispose of a body.

"I'm scared. The guy is powerful. If Chandra could disappear, I know I could
disappear. I don't know where all of this is going to end up.

"He had such an elaborate game plan to cover his tracks years ago. It's even
more insidious now."

While being intimate with the congressman for three years, Susie saw things
that haunt her today as she thinks about Chandra's puzzling disappearance.

Gary's got friends in very high places and friends in low places," Susie told
The Enquirer. "They all owe him favors and would certainly help him get rid of
Chandra. "And I wouldn't doubt he'd do something like that if she was starting
to threaten his career.

"This is a guy who was convinced he was going to be President one day. He's so
driven to be a star that I could easily see how he'd dispose of anything or
anyone getting in his way.

"He can woo you and try to get you to fall in love with him, but then turn on
you in a heartbeat. He's a Jekyll and Hyde character.

"Given everything I know about Gary, He definitely has the capacity to turn on
somebody-- and if he wants then gone, he has the capacity for that too.

"I'm concerned about what his reaction might be after he sees that I've come
forward." Susie, who's divorced with two children, provided details about
Condit that only those intimate with the congressman could know, and The
Enquirer verified those details with sources close to Condit.

Susise said her affair with Condit began when he spotted her at a fundraiser
while he was a California state assemblyman in 1988.

The politician had one of his staff members approach Susie to arrange "a
meeting."

"I thought Gary wanted to give me a job. I told his staffer that I was a
die-hard Republican and that Gary's a Democrat, but he said Gary needed to meet
with me."

But when she found herself alone with Condit for the first time, Susie
instantly got a glimpse of his dark side.

"Our first meeting was eerie. We went to dinner and he laid out on the table a
whole background check he had done on me and my ex-husband. He said he knew
everything about me. That frightened me. "But then he turned on the charm and
said he wanted to date me."

Susise said she ignored her misgivings and became romantically involved with
Condit.

"We started having a fling after our third date. That's when he broke the news
to me that he was married.

"But he was very attentive and treated me to long weekends in San Francisco,
Sacramento, San Jose and Los Angeles.

"It didn't take long for me to realize that Gary was really into sex. I'm
convinced he's a full-blown sex addict.

"Gary got off on the fact that no one knew this kinky side of him. He felt
completely untouchable. He'd always say that if he was confronted about his
extramarital sex life, he'd just deny it.

"He'd say, 'No one would believe them anyway. My dad is a preacher and my
brother is a policeman. I"m the perfect guy. I'm going to run for President one
day and no one is going to ruin that. ' His favorite kick was to invite me over
to his government offices in Modesto and Sacramento in the middle of the day
and have sex with me right on the conference room table-- with his secretary
within earshot on the other side of the door.

"His staff all knew he was cheating on his wife with me.

"He also loved having sex in the car while he was driving!"

Susie disclosed that even back then, Condit was into kinky sex -- which
investigators believe could have led to accidental tragedy with Chandra if
taken to the extreme.

"One night while were staying at the Le Baron Hotel in San Jose, he said, 'I've
got a surprise for you.'

"He started feeding me very fancy Godiva chocolates. Then he brought out a
"couple's kit' that he bought from a sex shop.

"It contained a pair of handcuffs that were lined on the inside so they
wouldn't hurt. He said, 'Here, let's try these out. It will be fun.'

"He took my scarf off and blindfolded me, tying the scarf around my eyes, and
we made love.

"But I didn't really like the submissive thing, so I took off the blindfold and
said, ' O.k., my turn. Let me blindfold you instead.'

"We'd take turns blindfolding each other. He liked that.

"When we did the whole handcuff and blindfold thing, it was soft stuff -- not
the serious S&M stuff I've read he's gotten into now.

"We continued seeing each other for a long time because I didn't want anything
from him. I didn't want him to help me with my career, or leave his wife and
marry me. I was fine with just having fun."

While Condit was running around on his wife, he tried to explain her frequent
absences from events by claiming she was mentally ill, Susie revealed.

"I soon realized that whenever I would bring up the subject of his wife, Gary's
mood would rapidly decline.

"He told me Carolyn was mentally ill and that's why he couldn't bring her to
public events for fear she'd embarrass him.

"I learned quickly not to ask about her at all.

"Our affair slowly fizzled out because once Gary was elected to Congress and
was spending more and more time in Washington, I couldn't find the time myself
to fly up there or keep my weekends free while in Modesto.

"I just didn't have time to juggle Gary, my career and my two kids.

"But I worry about Gary. He can get deeply depressed. When we were together, he
would talk to me about his problems with his drug-addicted brother.

"He said to me: 'It's a real thorn in my side and I sort of wish my brother
didn't exist.'

"Sometimes I think he'd turn on anybody, even his own brother, if he knew he
would hurt his career.

"He won't help Chandra's parents because he's so self-centered and only out for
himself and his career. My heart goes out to the Levy family.

The truth is: Gary has a split personality. He can come off very caring and
folksy, like a real representative of working-class people. But that's all
phony.

and Vince Flammini, long time close friend and aide in California, confirmed it. From Feb. 27, 2002 Fox News Hannity & Colmes:

COLMES: But you're saying, Vince, you believe that he knows more than he's saying and that there is more to this story that he's aware of that he refuses to share with anybody?

FLAMMINI: That's true. That's exactly what I'm saying. He wouldn' t say it, no matter what.

COLMES: Did he ever talk to you about what he would do if he ever got caught with a woman, how to act in a situation like that?

FLAMMINI: No, we never talked about that. The only thing he ever said to me that was strange was, he said something years ago. He said: "No matter what I do, my friends, if something happened -- if I killed somebody, they'd help me bury the body."

HANNITY: He said that?

COLMES: He said that to you?

FLAMMINI: He said that to me once, yes.

COLMES: What made him say that? What was the context of that statement?

FLAMMINI: We were just talking. It was just a conversation between two guys.

COLMES: That his friends are so loyal...

FLAMMINI: How much he wants you to be close to him and be able -- but he did say those words to me. He says -- I says, "What about this and what about that?" And he says, "If I killed somebody, you should help me bury the body." And I said, what a thing to say.

Ironic, isn't it? 2 people with the same basic story as to the Condit Protocol for ridding himself of incriminating dead bodies.

Makes you wonder who this woman is - the one that Susie Rossi was told to call? Wonder if she gave the phone # to the FBI?

Wonder if this is one of his faithful staffers?

When reading the above posts- Flammini and Rossi (sounds like a wine), I get the impression that it's a person or group that is apart from his staff. Maybe a service that is available to many pols that get into sticky situations?

Another mystery.
