Woman From Texas Disappeared

July 14, 2004 was the last time anyone saw Jennifer Wilkerson. She was driving from the 2400 block of 118th St. in Lubbock, Texas on her way home. After stopping at home she had planned to go to work at "Nothin Butt Smokes." Although Jennifer made it home, she never made it to work.

Some things about Jennifer's disappearance plague authorities. Jennifer disappeared without her car, her car or house keys, any clothing, her wallet, her cell phone, or even her purse. If she had run away, she would have gone to get her last paycheck. Jennifer did not even do that.

Authorities have made extreme efforts in trying to find Jennifer. There have been numerous witness interviews and authorities have searched many areas. The Sheriff's office teamed with forensic divers to explore the Buffalo Springs Lake to no avail.

"We've taken extraordinary mesures to follow up on every lead and even the slightest hunch."

A Desperate Family Seeks Community Help

Jennifer's family has been extremely thankful in the amount of support given to them. More than 200 people participated in an organized search for Jennifer. The support extends beyond Lubbock, Texas.

The Jennifer Lynn Wilkerson Search Fund was created to help with the expenses of the ongoing search. The account is being managed through the Bank of America. There are large contributors to this fund such as Sonic Drive-Ins and Kent Allen.

Project Jason spearheads a national person's locator program called 18 Wheel Angels. The program uses truckers to take flyers on their long voyages and post them around the country. A different missing person is featured every 2 weeks. The 18 Wheel Angel project displayed Jennifer all over the country in hopes that someone somewhere would recognize her.

A Families Hope Driven By One Clue

A suspicious vehicle continues to be the only clue authorites are focusing on. The day before Jennifer's disappearance there was a small low-rider black pick up truck parked in her neighborhood.

The vehicle is believed to have decals on the rear window and might have license plates from outside the state of Texas. Also the truck could be equipped with hydraulics and wheels with a smooth center cap. Police are hoping that this vehicle could lead to many answers to her mysterious disappearance.

Hope and Prayers to the family and Jennifer.
