rd: In the case of Frawley and associates failing the lie detector test, I'm sure that the police asked allot more questions than the three that Condit were asked, and likely Condit had the questions before hand and these were rehersed. Who knows, had these men had the benefit of knowing the questions before hand, and had a PRIVATE POLYGRAPH, customized, perhaps they would have passed as well.

I'd rather like to believe that Frawley had to have people around him commit crimes so that they would not rat on him! It seems plausible that perhaps Taylor went back to Frawley's place unexpectantly and caught him doing something that she had difficulty with, perhaps she said, the unthinkable and was going to go to the police....This guy Frawley is a bag of TRICKS! A Pandora's Box!

Whatever story we are likely to hear, it will all be blamed on others. Frawley sounds like he has a following, groupies so to speak. Running a car tag theft and for sale business as a sideline to his pornograph. Guess we have to wait until the police unfold this convoluted crime. The real question is where is Taylor buried?

I think you're reading more into hanging out skateboarding than there is. The photographer does not have accomplices in his evil, I am sure of that, and Taylor wasn't going to his apartment to be able to catch him in anything. She was going skateboarding. She was just going to hang out for a couple of hours.

This is classic the spurned wannabe boyfriend tries to force himself on her and ends up killing her because he raped her, then tried to make it look like her car was stolen, etc. Real simple, just like he is.

But I think this guy is a very proactive liar, knowing what has happened and making up lies to alibi to explain it by other people doing what he did.

Rd, I'm with you and stated it before: I don't find anything real different about Ben F., (aside from his porno, goth, and desire for young girls) and many criminal sorts have these same patterns. He is just plain and simple, a man who wanted to get rid of a person he couldn't have, or had a fight with. He desired Taylor, it wasn't going to his advantage, he probably raped her, and got rid of the body.

We see this pattern repeated over and over, in many cases, with various profiles of the men, (or possibly women killers). Ben is just a liar in my opinion. He makes up stories in advance to cover his tracks as to preset his alibi, nothing strange about that. Most of those that have murdered do the same.

Ben F. just seems to play unusual to us because of his habits, quirks, etc., as mentioned above. Aside from that, just a common piece of crap like the others.

And I bet my money on him being the culprit. It appears Jessie, (the kid arrested for drugs) is being eyed too by some. I think that may be a diversion, maybe not even put out by Ben, but also by LE as when they called Ben "not a person of interest." Maybe some chose to believe Ben F. is not capable of murder. Hum, I can't see why not.

@- Goz, the next months ouch)

I may have read wrong but you stated (?) could be my reading---in regard to a polygraph that Ben F. took one and failed.

I have been following articles on this case but I have not read that. I may have missed it, but also today on Court TV I saw part of a panel and they stated:

Ben F. refused the poly as did two of the skateboarders.

Are you sure rd? Just checking. I found it strange this guy would submit to one, probably due to the fact he would fail, and why give LE any more to hang him on.

Let me know.

Thanks for pointing that out, Goz. I reviewed my posts and see that Ted Williams stated on Greta that the guy arrested on drugs failed a lie detector test.

Earlier by a day or so on Nancy Grace Jim Moret talked of a failed lie detector test. I thought he was talking about Fawley but he must have been talking about the same guy (Jesse, I think you said his name was).

I didn't catch that I had posted both young men failed a lie detector test close together. If I had that would have set off some alarms wondering what was going on.

I remember posting some time back that Jesse was told he failed two key questions and he said he believed they were gaming him, which I agreed with in my post.

Enough time passed that these panelists bring up a failed lie detector test and I think it's news. Thanks for that correction, Goz.

Report: task force seeking missing student examines remains

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A police task force investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old student missing since Labor Day went to rural coastal town Wednesday to examine the remains of a body found.

The remains had not been identified, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported, quoting sources it did not name.

The task force was created to investigate the disappearance of Virginia Commonwealth University student Taylor Marie Behl, who was last seen one month ago.

The remains were discovered in a grave behind a barn on an isolated piece of private property in the sparsely populated county, located about 50 miles east of Richmond.

"All we can say at this point is that we're in Mathews, Virginia, at a location where we've recovered the remains of a body," Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe told the Times-Dispatch.

Task force investigators flew by State Police helicopter to the scene, where they were joined by investigators from the VCU police department, FBI and other agencies.

Janet Pelasara, Behl's mother, had not heard anything about a body being found, a family friend who answered the phone and declined to give her name to The Associated Press.

The Times-Dispatch said the property where the grave was discovered was one of a number of "locations of interest" identified by task force investigators through their interviews with people questioned in connection with the disappearance of Behl.

Behl, a freshman from Vienna, Va., was last seen leaving her dormitory room at 10:20 p.m. on Sept. 5.

Well it seems that we may have been correct in our thinking that one of the photos of the country side where Frawley took pictues may have been where he buried Taylor. If the body was in a grave then it is unlikely that someone found this but rather the police went looking at specific places and found Taylor, or perhaps Frawley has harmed more than one individual. Of course we do not know for sure that Frawley has murdered Taylor or anyone else, I guess he is entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty What we do know is that he is a neary-do-well that exploits young children. And that is stated way too politely. I just worry about liability of writing things that I do not know for sure on line.....but I suspect we are at the bottom of the list of this creeps problems, by the time he got around to suing us, he'd be too old, and so would we to care.

We must wait for the autopsy, dental examination and comparison.
I ammended my post marylandmissing, thanks.

We must wait for the autopsy, dental examination and comparison. It is unfortunate that the police did not give Taylor's mother a heads up, this is all bad to learn the way that she did. How does the press come to find out before the victim's mother? Something is wrong with this picture! This needs to change, this is just lacks sensitivity, plain and simple!

U are simply reading into a media inaccuracy. The mother was notified way before the news got wind of this story.

As stated above, I ammended my reporting of an inaccuracy printed in the press, however, this is not reading into something this is simply repeated what was printed.....

"Janet Pelasara, Behl's mother, had not heard anything about a body being found, a family friend who answered the phone and declined to give her name to The Associated Press."

So often this happens, we have seen time and time again that the media does not get things correct, we have seen also many blunders by the police.

Thanks for the information, as we may as well bash the proper source of the mistake. It would be dreadful to hear that a body had been found in the press if your loved one was missing if there had been no prior warning.

She may have been told to keep it quiet also, so the reporter was undoubtedly accurate, can't get "I don't know anything about it" wrong. It's just a matter of who answers the phone and what they're willing to say.

This is precisely as I thought would occur. Miles away off in the country off backroads. The creep even described being taken to a dirt road earlier that morning. He was there, all right, but he was the kidnapper.

Our thoughts are with Taylor Behl's loved ones at this sad time.

Nancy Grace is covering this now. The Richmond police in their investigation (the DC police would still be talking about Chandra having the right to disappear if she wanted to at this time, it would be weeks more before they get around to looking at what was on her computer and distributing pictures of Chandra with wigs cut and pasted on, listen up DC police, you bunch of nitwits, at what a real investigation looks like) found a ex-girlfriend of one of the young men according to the Richmond newspaper and in looking at pictures told them she knew where it was, and led them there.

There the police found a shallow grave behind a barn. It is surely Taylor. Her family is distraught at this time according to Nancy.

Although the man who is the ex-boyfriend is unidentified, by talking about looking at pictures it clearly is the photographer. He took this girlfriend to the same place in the past and she recognized it. I would never have guess he would take Taylor to bury her someplace he's taken other girls.

He apparently never thought they would find his ex-girlfriend is all I can figure, just like he thought they would never find Taylor 70 miles away behind a barn.

Our thoughts are with Taylor, and her family at this sad time. I caught the breaking news too.

And as Kate stated: We did say, "the pictures Ben, (not that there - at least at my end) is an official statement, nor has Ben been charged) are telling. I do remember seeing barn photos.

Hope the results are posted soon so the family can go on.

Bless this family

Goz.

Video: Investigators Find Human Remains

Officials Investigating Missing Va. Teen Find Remains
Behl Last Seen Sept. 5

POSTED: 3:04 pm EDT October 5, 2005
UPDATED: 12:33 am EDT October 6, 2005

DIGGS, Va. -- Richmond Police Chief Rodney Monroe confirmed Wednesday that a body was found in rural Mathews County, but he would not say whether it is missing Virginia Commonwealth University student Taylor Behl.

Numerous law enforcement officials arrived Wednesday afternoon at the scene in Diggs, including the task force investigating Behl's disappearance. Police gathered in a field that is just off of a farm road, News4's Pat Collins reported.

"At this time, we do not, I repeat, we do not know who the remains belong to," Monroe said at a news conference outside the Mathews County sheriff's office.

Monroe said investigators from VCU discovered the location of the body, FBI investigators were collecting evidence from a large crime scene and state police would investigate the discovery of the remains.

The remains were discovered in a shallow grave in a heavily wooded area on private property in the county, about 75 miles east of Richmond.

According to police, their investigation included several searches, and in one of those searches, some pictures were seized, including a picture of the general area where the human remains were found. Police said one of the witnesses they spoke to recognized the area in the photograph.

Behl's friends at a local music club said they were asked not to comment on the latest developments in the case, but said they have been doing everything they could to find her, including an Internet search.

The search turned up a Web page entitled, "Deviant Art," which contains pictures from Fawley, News4 reported. On the Web page are photos of a farmhouse that is approximately the same age and architectural style as the building on the property where the remains were found. One picture contains the caption, "I saw this on May 15 with someone special."

Items that were seized from Fawley's apartment are still going through forensic tests, News4 reported.

The investigation into the 17-year-old Vienna girl's disappearance began with campus police. Richmond police and the FBI then joined in.

On Tuesday, sources told News4 that a grand jury was getting involved in the case.

The grand jury investigation will provide for interrogation by prosecutors, witness testimony under oath and penalties for those caught lying, News4 reported.

"The stakes are higher, and so you would think that the leads that come from a grand jury have more credibility than if it came simply from statements made to a police officer when somebody is not under penalty of perjury," said Steve Shannon, a Fairfax County prosecutor and member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

Behl's mother, Janet Pelasara, has returned to Vienna but says she is still apprised of the investigation. She had been staying in Richmond since her daughter disappeared. Monroe said officials called Pelasara as a courtesy when the body was discovered.

Behl was last seen in her dormitory at about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 5. She took her cell phone, a small amount of cash, a student ID and her car keys. She told her roommate she would be back in a few hours.

The teen's car was found two weeks later, less than two miles from her dorm. Her license plates had been replaced with Ohio plates reported stolen several weeks before she disappeared.

A 38-year-old amateur photographer who was one of the last people to see Behl was questioned by police in her disappearance. Ben Fawley was arraigned last week on 16 counts of possession of child pornography and ordered held without bond.

Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Mike Jagels said authorities have found at least 30 videos on Fawley's computers depicting children as young as 1 in sexual acts. Neither Behl nor Fawley appear in any of the videos, Jagels said, and Fawley has not been charged in Behl's case.

According to Fawley's attorney, the photographer had a romantic relationship with the teen, and Jagels said the two had sex on several occasions.

Behl is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Behl graduated from James Madison High School in the spring. She had been at VCU for only two weeks before she disappeared, her mother said.

Anyone with information should call police at (877) 244-HELP or (804) 828-1196

!!

Likely this is Taylor. Our sympathy is extended to the family. This is so tragic and so unnecessay. Frawley was on a country road that night but not dragged they by adbuctors, he was the abductor, and as we suspected the kidnapping thing was a ruse, an alibi. More than not, his injuries are related to having hurt Taylor and that she fought back with all her strength... I pray that if it is Taylor, that she has on her person some DNA that ties her to Frawley and hopefully Virginia has capital punishment.

Double the tragedy, is that Frawley is likely to claim himself to be not gulity by reason of insanity and God forbide, Frawley will likely represent himself in a court of law and plead not guilty.

Just caught a Fox News Media Alert awhile back.

Taylor's mom and attorney--- She thanked all that helped on the search for her daughter. It seems they may really know the outcome but nobody is really saying for sure.

The atty. indicated, (but not) that they are sure it is Taylor. He then did not answer any questions on specifics. It was rather sad.

I did read other articles that the body was found on Erin's property (x-girlfriend) of Ben F.

Also: articles I have saved indicate that Taylor's clothes were found at the scene but but- I would like to mention the atty/police won't state this fact.

This is very sad. I think they stated that their will be answers forthcoming soon.

This was very sad to watch. Taylor's mom has thanked everyone so I assume this is very telling.

K- thanks for the photo's and updates. I have found other photo's over the last day too, but figured what you posted sheds enough light onto this sad case.

I hope the confirmation comes soon so those that have been harmed, and suffering may continue to the next phase which produces its own nightmare.

It was indicated that there was a person in custody- yes, we know they must be talking about Ben.

Prayers for this family and other victims.

This is what was expected but as I type this, I cry as I do for each victim that is so young and stolen from us. (as we all do) I am so sad, and can't really say too much except I hope the person is given the harshest sentence possible.

Blessing to the family during this time.

Oct. 5: A task force investigating the disappearance of a Virginia college student says they have made a gruesome discovery. NBC's Kevin Corke reports.

******Updated: 2:19 p.m. ET Oct. 6, 2005
RICHMOND, Va. - Authorities have confirmed that the body found in rural Virginia was that of missing college student Taylor Behl. The identity was confirmed through dental records.

Behl, 17, left her Virginia Commonwealth University dorm last month with her mobile phone, a small amount of cash, a student ID and her car keys. She told her roommate she would be back in a few hours.

The teen’s car was found two weeks later, less than two miles from her dorm. Her car’s license plates had been replaced with Ohio plates reported stolen several weeks earlier.

A task force investigating Behl’s disappearance found a decomposed body in rural Mathews County on Wednesday, buried off a dirt path about 75 miles east of Richmond. It was not clear how long it had been there.

A cause of death has not been established, police said.

Photographer held
A 38-year-old amateur photographer who was one of the last people to see Behl before she disappeared is being held without bond on child pornography charges. The photographer, Ben Fawley, has not been charged in the Behl case.

Fawley had a romantic relationship with the teen, his attorney, Chris Collins, has said. A telephone message left for Collins was not immediately returned Thursday.

Pelasara’s attorney, George Peterson, said at the news conference that he believes the strongest suspect is already in custody.

Peterson would not confirm reports that clothing found on the body matched the description of the clothes Behl was wearing the day she disappeared, but said the family has “a high degree of confidence that the body found is Taylor’s.”

Richmond police spokeswoman Cynthia Price said police would likely not have a positive identification for several days. But she said Pelasara’s assumption that the body is Behl is “probably a pretty accurate assumption.”

Fawley was questioned by police in Behl’s disappearance and classified as a person of interest at one point during the investigation. He was arraigned last week on 16 counts of possession of child pornography.

Detectives later seized more than 70 items from Fawley’s home, including a box of bones, a machete and part of a box spring bearing a reddish-brown stain, according to a search warrant.

Behl’s family was planning to make funeral arrangements later Thursday, Peterson said.

Remains Positively Identified As Missing Teen
Behl Last Seen Sept. 5

POSTED: 11:11 am EDT October 6, 2005
UPDATED: 3:21 pm EDT October 6, 2005

VIENNA, Va. -- Human remains found Wednesday in a remote part of Mathews County, Va., have been positively identified as those of a missing teenage college student.

Officials said Thursday afternoon that the positive identification was made through dental records at the state's medical examiner's office. A cause of death has not been determined.

Investigators said Taylor Behl's mother and father were notified about the identification.

Earlier in the day, Behl's mother said the remains were mostly likely those of her daughter.

"The body found is most likely my baby's," said Behl's mother, Janet Pelasara.

Behl, 17, has been missing since early September. On Thursday, Pelasara spoke about the discovery. She said she prays that whoever is responsible gets the death penalty.

"I'm sure you can imagine the shock and horror that I feel knowing that the body found is most likely my baby," Pelasara said.

The human remains were found Wednesday in a heavily wooded area.

"We have a high degree of confidence that the body they found is Taylor's," said family attorney George Peterson.

Sources told News4 that items found near the scene indicate that the remains are those of Behl.
