Human bones have been found along the C&O Canal near Fletchers boathouse today.

Thanks for the info, blondie. I hope they can identify this person. I don't recall the skull that was found in an abandoned photoshop (IIRC) while Chandra was still missing and seen being carried by a bus passenger (something for his mantle?) as ever having been identified.

How utterly sad, I just did a search on Alice Thresher, the reporter who went missing in 2001 in june or july, she was a journalist who did not show up for her first day of work at the washington post, I just searched multi pages deep in the washington post, google, yahoo, and no trace that Alice ever existed. How extrodinary. Perhaps I have her name wrong, but I do not think so. Alice just vanished off the face of the earth and now off the internet.???? What the heck!?

p.s. I don't know what made me think of her other than a beautiful woman disappeared, one would think that the Post would have kept looking for her, wonder why she got shoved under the carpet so to speak, it is like she never existed.

That's the place I visited back in March 2002 after the member on Where's Chandra detailed her vision of the area. I put some pictures up. Do you have the article?

Peri, It was Allison Thresher. Latest on her that I remember was that after she had been missing for over a few years her husband had her declared dead so the children could receive certain benefits.

James I was going to ask you if this was the place you visited and if you remembered or had recorded Thresher's name as I had to dig it out of memory? This then is the place where Joyce Chaing was found, I remember you showing the picture and saying this? Am I in error in memory of this as well.

As a side note, I went to look at the visions that people wrote on Strange forums, including ourselves, and all the posts that we wrote are missing. Psysm advised through a pm, that all the early posts are missing? As you know my computer crashed and I've none of the old newsclippings and posts....! Thanks for the information James.

James just completed another search with the correct name Allison Tresher, no results found. It seems rather odd to me that a person who worked for the Washington Post goes missing on the first day of work, and they give up printing articles about her, there was not a huge media outcry when she first went missing.

Actually this case was all over the news for a very long time when she disappeared.

This is the third time they've found bones in this area in the last month.

James, I don't have the posts and pictures of your abandoned photoshop visit. It was on another site and that site went down rather abruptly. I think most of us have lost everything on our PC a time or two as well. If a search doesn't bring something up on this site I think we can consider it lost. :(

Thanks Maryland. There was something strange about that Boathouse area. Strangest of all was the info I got from a local homeless guy who told me he had never seen cops searching the area in the Summer of 2001. That would have been one of the first areas I would have checked for Chandra Levy. He seemed pretty reliable.

RD, I still have all of the pictures. Macs never crash! They just don't do Windows.
