What ever happened to the contact lense that was found? We know that he wore glasses in the 90's and yet never saw him in glasses since Chandra disappeared. Could it be his contact lense? Could that have been the doctor he went to on May 1, 2001?

The Levy's detectives found the contact lens and handed it over to LE (who had missed it in their search). After that, nothing is heard about it.

Don't you get the distinct impression (from this and similar issues) that LE doesn't really want to solve this case?

big time, jane ...

very big time! in fact, i think that is exactly why gainer was suddenly out of the metropolitan police department ... even early on, he was starting to be critical of the shoddy efforts being made to solve this crime, or even to treat it like the crime it was.

Thanks for the opinions nanci, jane, and blondie. We seem to agree.

The Otis Thomas story quick coverup seems to be part of the scenario. The Otis Thomas story never shows up in any timelines, after the FBI said that Thomas lied.

Condit has threatened all of the media through his lawsuits. No one will stand up to Condit in the courts, or elsewhere.

I would like to hear what Condit told the FBI when they were interviewing him. It is a crime to lie to the FBI, but I doubt that Condit stuck to the truth. If he did it would be interesting to see what he said.

I've heard that you can actually get DNA from a contact lense. And if that was gone the prescription could be matched to someone and they supossedly can determine where it came from(what lense lab).

yes, I was surprised when a picture of Condit wearing glasses was found. I doubt the police or FBI even tried to find out if he wore contacts. They didn't manage to get anybody else's DNA from the entire site or even determine if she decomposed there. Quite impressive work.

I guess you could put the photo into an attachment, but not everyone will accept attachments.

I try not to make attachments, so I don't do it very often. There must be a better way.

Right, benn. They wouldn't accept an attachment unless they requested it. That's assuming there's even a public e-mail address for either one of them.

In my opinion they are all take, no give. One could try to suggest they consider whether the contact lens are Condit's and you wouldn't even know whether they heard you, much less what they think of it. It's a black hole, designed to make people weary and go away and leave them alone. They haven't even told the Levy's anything from day one. The Levy's have said that in interviews time and again from the beginning. They never had any idea what the police were doing, and as far as I know, there was a good reason for that. They weren't doing anything.

I definitely think you guys are onto something ! I am posting for the first time, but have enjoyed reading your posts. You are doing far more work than LE it seems !
I agree the Levys should see that pic. and be made aware of this possible new link.

Thanks for your thoughts, C.A. I had only seen Condit occasionally wearing sunglasses in pictures but this gang dug deep to find this picture of Condit wearing glasses. He surely wears contacts but never got reported, nor whether the prescription on the lens would or would not match his.

We're pulling together some info for the Levys to see now. I'll keep you posted. Great to see you posting.
