'No matter what we don’t have our daughter back': Parents of Chandra Levy talk about the mysterious death of their daughter 15 years later as date is set for killer's retrial

The parents of Chandra Levy, Susan and Robert, said they are still hurt and angry over the death of their daughter 15 years after she went missing

Chandra was 24 and about to graduate college was she disappeared while in Washington DC where she worked as an intern

Her body was discovered in a park a year after she disappeared and in 2009 Ingmar Guandique was charged with her death

He was sentenced to 60 years in prison in 2011 but has been granted a retrial that will begin on October 11 of this year

His defense lawyer had argued that Gary Condit, a witness in the case, had lied on the stand

Condit was a married congressman who was reported to have been having an affair with Chandra around the time she was killed

Yes, WS is websleuths.

An Auto reply (sorry) is when there is a thread on a subject/person/topic
and you once were on that thread RD, if you did not take yourself off the thread, you will get the replies that are posted there in your mail

I hope i explained it right. I must have been on Chandras thread like 10 plus years ago before I came here.

"As far as I can see, it's just some attorneys trying to make themselves a name and make more money," said Chandra's father Robert. "He's guilty."

yeah, and he said after the first trial that he had said whatever it took to convict him, and said something about doing something similar when thought Condit was guilty.

All in all, undermined the case about as much as possible as one is able to do that.

Unsaid, but in my opinion, that is the only reason he said he "guessed so" or whatever when asked if Chandra could have been in the park on her own. He knows good and well Chandra wouldn't have gone off down highway and byway and into a forest horse trail with basically nothing more than a walkman to listen to.

I'm not really one to tell parents who have lost their daughter what they should say, but goodness gracious, they know Chandra better than that, and trying to help the government railroad Guandique is not justice for Chandra.

Problem is, they just don't see a chance for justice for Chandra and I really can't blame them there.
