A young 25 year old mother went missing from her gas station job in Michigan and police feel confident they will locate her. Police feel she is still alive.
-Please keep a look out for the van in question.
Her mother believes she was lured out to a van by someone she had seen before and abducted. I hope we find her alive yet time has elapsed.

My prayers are with Jessica and her family.

The man in the van who had his sketch released at the start of the investigation was questioned for two days and released. He has been cleared of any wrong doing. It appears there is not any leads in the case. Police are working on the 500 tips that they have to date. Time has passed and it does not look promising at this point

Update: Jessica Heeringa Investigation
West MI

Snip

The entire task force, made up of agencies from across the county has committed to another week in the search for Jessica Heeringa. Friday, there were even new investigators briefed and added to the team.

Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw says the man with the silver min-van that was being questioned for the past two days is no longer the focus of the investigation, adding that from his understanding he did not look like the man from the sketch. “Investigators are quite certain that he is not involved, so they’re moving past him onto the next name or the next tip.”

Shaw says “the new focus is the other 500 or so tips that we have and we’re prioritizing those. So they are now going to the next higher priority lead that they have.”

Police say they also have collected evidence from outside the gas station, some kind of un-known substance that is being tested. Whether that’s DNA or not they’re still waiting on the results, “its normal investigative procedure, we are going to search any crime scene and collect anything that looks out of the ordinary or shouldn’t be there.”

Sadly there is no word on Jessica or any new leads.
I really thought we were going to find her when she first went missing
due to what the police had stated.

Blood collected at the gas station where a 25-year-old woman vanished matches DNA taken from her toothbrush, authorities say.

Lab tests conducted by the Michigan State Police matched the small sample to Jessica Heeringa, last seen April 26 while she worked a late shift at an Exxon gas station in Norton Shores, MLive reports.

"We have no idea how she was injured,” Norton Shores Police Chief Daniel Shaw told the Detroit Free Press.

Police believe that the development confirms Heeringa was kidnapped.
