No news to report. Her husband still remains a POI but no arrests. She is still missing and no body recovered.
The missing Missouri mother's family is offering $25,000 Reward for information in this case.
Let us hope this brings some tips.

Renee Pernice, a 35-year-old mother of two young children, vanished from her home in Kansas City, Missouri, shortly after New Year's this year. She hasn't been heard from since.
Renee Pernice is pictured here with her two sons and husband, Shon.
Police believe foul play is involved, yet they have not found her body. No one has been arrested in the case.
Police have not named her husband, Shon Pernice, as a person of interest or a suspect in the case. However, "he's the last known person to see her alive," said Doug Niemeier, a sergeant with the Kansas City Police Department.
Six months after Renee Pernice disappeared, police say they still have questions about her husband in the days after her disappearance, including why he allegedly accessed a local fire department's hazardous materials building around 4:30 a.m. January 3.
"It should be noted that multiple types of cleaners, solvents and cleaning supplies are stored at Station #5," a police affidavit says.
Attorneys for Shon Pernice declined to comment for this story. Police and family say Renee was pursuing a divorce around the time she disappeared.

Another tragedy multiplied. The poor children, again. May be family court needs to become more "family friendly", so people don't feel they have to kill their spouses, instead of getting themselves a divorce. |

I agree with you Rainbow. Something has to be done for sure. This pattern is going on and on. The women have really become disposable.
Good weekend

I think that divorce attorneys really play into this. Now that women are in jobs where they earn as much or more as their husbands, they are often in the more financially powerful position in the home, with all of the accompanying privileges and obligations. Divorce attorneys encourage these women to "create fault" in "no fault" divorces, so the woman can ensure that she retains custody of the children and won't have to pay her husband alimony, etc.. This creates (more) animosity between the spouses and children and unnecessarily depletes the children's (and parents') estates.
Then, there are the "stay at home" mothers and fathers. The divorce attorneys can really make these situations turn into a "winner take all", "loser take nothing" game.
As we see on these boards, this negative family "restructuring" process has become so destructive to the American family that family members are even feeling they have to resort to killing one another. This has led to a serious crisis in our country.
Of course, socio- and psycho- paths are excluded and are in a category all of their own.
There is a good book out now that is very helpful for people going through divorces, people with difficult spouses and/or attorneys. It is called "Splitting: How to Protect Yourself While Divorcing a Borderline or a Narcissist", by William A. Eddy. It makes people aware of what is reallly going on, which can help them, their children and spouses to avoid being victimized by their spouses or attorneys.

This woman has been missing for awhile now and I feel the husband has something to do with it. He appears to be the unstable, angry type. Let us pray they find her soon.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- It has been more than nine months since Renee Pernice went missing and although the spotlight on the case has faded, there is a still a concerted effort to find the missing woman.

Beyond the camera and out of the limelight, a group of detectives in the Kansas City Police Department is working to try to find Pernice.
"There not a day that goes by that something doesn't happen in this case," Detective Robert Blehm said. "We need to find Renee, wherever she may be."
The detectives said they have taken numerous tips, followed leads, interviewed family, friends and neighbors and are continuing work on the case.
"Just think about going to bed every single night, not knowing where your child is, if you're a parent."
Police are still looking for the public's help and have a small amount of information they hope will help crack the case.
Surveillance video shows a pickup truck and police said they know who has it. The truck has a light to medium color with a factory rack on top and an extended cab with a smaller side door.
In the surveillance video the truck had two large size coolers or plastic storage bins in the bed of the truck.

The second piece of information the detectives are working with is the time line of events. Renee Pernice's family last talked to her at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 1. That night, the children had a sleepover at a friend's house and when they got home at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 2, Pernice was gone.
"We need that one tip that's going to bring closure to this case and there are people out in the community who can provide it," Huth said.
There is a $25,000 reward for information that leads to Renee. Billboards with Pernice's face are spread around the city. |
