Adams' brutally beaten body was found in a Northeast Lubbock field Wednesday morning. She was the fifth prostitute found dead in east Lubbock County in the last decade.

"She didn't deserve whatever happened to her," said Tiffani, a 42-year-old who said she knew Adams for more than 10 years.

Lubbock police said they believe Adams' body, which was in the field near North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and East Bradley Street, had been there since at least the weekend. Autopsy results released late Thursday afternoon show Adams was killed by multiple blunt-force trauma blows to the back of the head, Police Capt. Greg Stevens said. He would not comment further about the condition of the body.

Stevens said investigators have several persons of interest in the case but have not identified any suspects. The investigators were working to establish a time line of Adams' last activities.

Authorities were generally quiet about Adams' last known whereabouts, but they said she frequented the Sunset Motel and convenience stores in the Avenue Q and 19th Street areas. She also had an alias - Monica Longoria.

This type of behaviour and result are not new, but there are ways to try to prevent them from happening. I always believe in taking care of the dead in any means possible, but the time to take action is before disaster happens, prevention is the best cure.

There used to a main street in Oakland, California where a lot of prostitutes hung out waiting for customers. They interviewed one on the news one evening, and it was only a few months later or so where the news was reporting that the woman interviewed had been murdered.

From a more hopeful point of view I was looking at one of my favorite Christian internet stations a week or two ago and they were interviewing a former prostitute and porn star. The woman being interviewed had converted to Christianity about 10 years ago or more. After converting she got married and now has three children and is still married. Also she has a website of some kind that opposes porn on the internet. I did not see the whole interview, but that woman evidently escaped from a life of doom by way of Jesus Christ.

We should not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we follow the crowd we can go any aimless way, but if we follow Jesus at least we know in what direction we are going.

I favor the following of the Ten Commandments because they were designed by God to make man's life on earth as meaningful as possible.

One more last comment here. The internet bible course I am now following has over 100 CDs amd DVDs that they send out to the students, and the narrator on the discs says that many years back he was a drunkard. He even relates getting drunk and getting into a fight with a police officer once. But he became a Christian and was able to get away from his past life. He took several religion courses and became a Pastor as well as a teacher and Preacher. So it is possible to escape lifestyles that are going no where, or that are leading to disaster. Praise God.

Christians should not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have decided to not follow the crowd and to follow Jesus. Praise God.

This could be the same prostitute serial murderer running around Lubbock that we saw in the search for Joanne Rogers.

Here's the link to that thread. Lots of women disappear in Lubbock.

Another missing woman/girl-Joanna Rogers, 16, of Lubbock, TX
