Sadly another woman missing. Filed for divorce, the ex is still a beneficiary of life insurance on her, and she's gone.

It's pretty predictable. She filed a domestic violence injunction. She filed for a restraining order.

It's all not worth the paper it's written on.

The ex's divorce lawyer is shocked to hear that Josephine is missing.

He's the only one.

FORT LAUDERDALE

Missing Lauderdale wife was seeking restraining order

A Canadian transplant to South Florida has disappeared, leaving behind her car, her cellphone and her estranged husband.

BY ADAM H. BEASLEY AND TODD WRIGHT

(snip)

Josephine Frenna, 51, has vanished. She disappeared Thursday -- a day before a hearing to consider her request for a restraining order against her estranged 58-year-old husband Gerardo Di Marco. He filed for divorce last week.

Early Friday morning, Fort Lauderdale police located Di Marco and he was being cooperative, said Detective Kathy Collins, a Fort Lauderdale Police spokeswoman.

Late Friday, authorities sought the community's help in finding Frenna, who was not home Thursday afternoon when her 14-year-old son returned from school.

The normally fastidious Frenna left behind her car, her purse and her cellphone, according to family and friends, who said that she would call family four or five times on most days.

''Nobody heard from her all day [Thursday], which was out of her character,'' said Steve Stabile, a family friend. ``She isn't the type of people to go anywhere alone.''

(snip)

In the restraining order filed July 14, Frenna claimed Di Marco had broken through doors with an ax and also changed locks to their home so she and her son could not enter.

''He is a threat to me and my son and my son does not want to go with him,'' wrote Frenna in the domestic violance injunction filed in court.

Included in the injunction: photos of a door missing a chunk of wood near the knob, which could be the axed door that Frenna referred to. Frenna labeled the photo ``HORROR.''

Frenna also claimed Di Marco threatened to throw her off the couple's balcony and physically grabbed her and ``started screaming, cursing at me and calling me names.''

A month later, Di Marco filed for divorce. The Canadian couple reportedly moved to South Florida within the last year.

Di Marco indicated he planned to leave Florida and was seeking joint custody of the boy. He sought a court order barring Frenna from selling their assets, and he was named the beneficiary of Frenna's life insurance policy.

Di Marco's divorce attorney, Marc Shelowitzm said he had spoken to his client a few days ago to discuss the divorce, but did not know Frenna was missing when contacted on Friday.

''I am shocked to hear that,'' he said.

Investigators ask anyone with information to call Fort Lauderdale police at 954-828-5700 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).

Missing Florida Mom Reportedly Feared 'Violent' Husband
Saturday, August 23, 2008
Fox News

A woman in South Florida who had sought a restraining order against her husband disappeared Thursday, the Miami Herald reported.

Josephine Frenna, 51, who recently moved from Canada, previously told a Broward County judge that she and her son were "affraid for our life" because her estranged husband, Gerardo Di Marco, is "violent" and "dangerous," the Herald reported.

Di Marco filed for divorce last week, and Frenna was scheduled to be in court Friday for a hearing on the restraining order against him.

Frenna’s 14-year-old son became suspicious Thursday when he returned from school to find his mother’s car, purse and cell phone, but no trace of her. Police have searched nearby apartments, hospitals, jails and airlines with no luck.

Frenna’s family and friends have been interviewed as well. De Marco was located Friday by Fort Lauderdale police and has been cooperative, police told the Herald.

Frenna’s restraining order request claimed her husband had broken through doors with an ax and changed the locks on their home, as well as threatened to throw her off the couple’s balcony.

Ft. Lauderdale police are headed north a bit to Port St. Lucie to see if a woman's body found is that of Josephine Frenna. If so, will be quite devious.

Port St. Lucie was just ground zero for Tropical Storm Fay with heavy flooding there. A bit north in Daytona Beach one person drowned at the beach, and further north here in Jacksonville another person drowned at the beach in that storm.

Nothing like the silent ex trying to make the missing woman a drowning victim in a hurricane to raise "reasonable doubt".

Geez, the bastard silent ex's are trying everything to get away with making women disappear.

Cops probe whether body is missing Lauderdale woman

Fort Lauderdale police detectives are on their way to St. Lucie County to determine if a body found Sunday is that of a missing Fort Lauderdale woman.

(snip)

Police have not confirmed if the body found 20 miles east of the Sebastian Inlet is Frenna. The U.S. Coast Guard discovered the body of a woman, dressed in a blue bathing suit, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

This guy is a real manic RD. I was praying she was alive but I know better by now.

Now we just have to wait and see if it is her body.

This is definitely her, goz. They apparently don't have the DNA, dental, or fingerprint evidence to identify her yet, but it's her.

They haven't identified her, and the silent ex, the one who is "sure" it's not her and that she will return safe and sound, according to the silent ex's lawyer mouthpiece, is not a suspect.

That he is sure it isn't her is a better lie detector test than a lie detector test. It is easily detected by humans that he is overcompensating to hide what he knows and claiming the opposite, that he is sure it isn't her rather than he is sure he drowned her and left her body there.

Of course that won't convict him, but it saves us the trouble of dealing with his coming assured refusal to take a lie detector test administered by the police.

He has already failed it.

Medical Examiner: Unidentified woman drowned
By Lamaur Stancil
Fort Pierce Tribune
Tuesday, August 26, 2008

Indian River County - An autopsy performed Monday by the Medical Examiner's Office determined the unidentified woman found Sunday in the Atlantic Ocean east of the Sebastian Inlet died from drowning, according to a St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office news release.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the woman appeared to be in her 40s or 50s and was discovered by people on a private recreational boat 24 miles east of the Sebastian Inlet. The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office has jurisdiction in the case because the Coast Guard brought the woman's body from international waters to the Fort Pierce Inlet.

(snip)

Fort Lauderdale police spokesman Frank Sousa said the description of Frenna is similar to that of the woman found in the water.

The Sheriff's Office said the woman pulled from the water was 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighed 160 pounds. She wore two diamond-like earrings with gold studs and a one-piece blue bathing suit with a floral print, according to an incident report. The woman had dark hair pulled back with an elastic tie and red-painted toenails, the report said.

The woman may have been in the ocean for at least a day, the Sheriff's Office said.

A clarification on the life insurance. He was trying to force her to take out life insurance through court order in which he was the executor. I've heard of pre-planning for funerals, but nothing like a little pre-planning for a murder, is there?

Victim of ocean drowning resembles missing woman
BY ADAM H. BEASLEY AND JENNIFER MOONEY PIEDRA
abeasley@MiamiHerald.com
August 26, 2008

(snip)

''It has not been determined whether the body is that of the woman whose name has been released by the Fort Lauderdale police as a missing person,'' said St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara. ``The body had no obvious signs of trauma.''

(snip)

If authorities ultimately determine Frenna's body was the one discovered, a theory is that she went for a swim in the ocean, drowned outside of her Galt Ocean Mile condo and currents carried her far to the north.

Frenna's family was skeptical Monday that she would be out in the ocean, saying she did not like to swim and ``wouldn't even dip her toe in the ocean.''

Frenna, 51, was last seen Thursday morning walking home from a Fort Lauderdale bus stop where she left her 14-year-old son.

(snip)

Her family -- some from as far away as Canada and New York -- gathered near her condo at Galt Ocean Mile Monday morning, handing out missing persons fliers.

''We're all very distraught,'' said her brother, Pat Frenna.

Soon after Frenna was reported missing, police tracked down DiMarco, who lives in Pompano Beach.

Last month, Frenna went before a judge, saying she was fearful of DiMarco, telling the court, ``Me and my son are afraid for our life.''

She called DiMarco ''violent'' and ``dangerous.''

Last week, DiMarco, 58, filed for divorce. On Friday, a day after Frenna disappeared, she was set to appear in court for a hearing to consider her request for a restraining order against him.

Shelowitz clarified an earlier report by The Miami Herald, which stated DiMarco was the beneficiary of Frenna's life insurance policy.

When he filed for divorce earlier this month, he made it clear he was seeking joint custody of their 14-year-old son. In the filing, he asked the court to compel Frenna to take out a life insurance policy that would cover her child support should she die -- naming the child as the beneficiary and DiMarco as the executor.

No such policy had been taken out before she vanished, the attorney said.

Here's some of the quotes from the silent ex's lawyer about how he does not believe the body found in the ocean is Josephine, as if he could have a clue if he hadn't put her there.

The lawyer is learning though. Earlier, he said DiMarco was sure it wasn't her. That quote is gone now. Then he said DiMarco does not believe it was her. Now he's saying DiMarco has no idea what happened to her.

Speaking of lie detector tests, the lawyer is saying that DiMarco agreed to take tests without his lawyer present, no indication that he actually did yet, or of the results.

Marc Shelowitz, Di Marco's attorney, said his client did "absolutely not" have anything to do with his estranged wife's disappearance. And he doesn't believe the body found in St. Lucie is that of Frenna.

Shelowitz said he wasn't at liberty to discuss his client's theory on what happened to Frenna, but "he is convinced she will show up alive and well."

from local10.news (fair use)

DiMarco's attorney, Marc Shelowitz, said his client had nothing to do with Frenna's disappearance.

Shelowitz said DiMarco voluntarily spoke to detectives this weekend and agreed to take two lie detector tests without his attorney being present. Shelowitz also said the allegations of domestic violence are extremely exaggerated.

"Regardless of their problems, he's extremely concerned about the son and, obviously, as the mother of his children, he's extremely concerned about where she is, and he has no idea about how or why she disappeared," Shelowitz said.

Family members distributed missing person flyers to strangers Monday. They said it is unimaginable that Frenna's body would be found 20 miles offshore.

"She never, never, never went in the water by herself," Frenna's nephew, Peter Vizzi, said. "She would never even go in the pool. She would stay with all of us, wear a bathing suit but never go in the water."

What a bunch of crap. He probably abused her all the time. Also, would love to see WHEN he is going to take these lie detector tests!!!

Also, note she didn't like to swim so he had to kill her and put her in the water (MO). I hope we get an ID on the body soon even though it is probably her. Poor woman had to live through this hell most of her married life with this animal.

Love how he was forcing life insurance on her. Calling it early I suppose so he could kill her and take the money. I can't believe this guy. He scares me just thinking about him. Reminds me of a couple of other guys on this board like Peterson, etc.

Fort Lauderdale officials tell the Miami Herald that the body of a woman found by Coast Guard officials about 20 miles east of the Sebastian Inlet is Josephine Frenna, 51, who disappeared a day before a court hearing on a restraining order against her husband.

The St. Lucie County medical examiner used dental records to identify the body, the paper said.

Frenna, who recently moved from Canada, had told a Broward County judge that she and her son were "afraid for our life" because her estranged husband, Gerardo Di Marco, is "violent" and "dangerous," according to reports.

The family suspects foul play due to the fact that Josephine did not like to
swim. The husband has cooperated with LE to date and has not been
named as a suspect.

We know better.

See other articles to ref. why we think he is a suspect in this case.

This is a seriously well planned staged murder scene. Josephine was found wearing a one piece bathing suit, she would have had to put that on or the silent ex put it on her. She was still wearing nice earrings.

Then her bag with her keys is placed on the beach, not far from her condo. Then she is found 100 miles north, drifting offshore in international waters.

Obvious she dipped her toe into the water and was dragged 100 miles north by a riptide. The day before her restraining order against her silent ex goes before the judge. yeah, right.

We've seen this before. Chandra's murder scene was an elaborately staged sexual assault scene. I analyze that in detail here in Murder on a Horse Trail.

Here's some things that make Josephine's murder a staged drowning.

She walked her boy to the bus stop, and was never heard from again after that, even though she called relatives several times a day. So it's clear that she was ambushed on her way back home, probably at the door when going in.

She wasn't struck or murdered, because no marks were found on her and she was alive when she was placed in the water for the autopsy to find that she drowned. I don't know how well that cloroform over the face thing works, but that's what they always do on tv.

Here's the dead giveaway that Josephine didn't go to the beach. The cellphone wasn't there. It was left at her condo. If she really had gone to the beach, the cellphone would be in her bag with the keys.

Of course, she never went to the beach anyway, that's just another reason to know she wasn't there.

The 100 miles up the coast and 24 miles off shore is the other reason. As this was done in the aftermath of a major storm, the defense will raise reasonable doubt that the remnants of the storm both created the riptide capable of ripping her from the beach and then washing her away over a 100 miles. But as with Chandra supposedly on the side of a mountain on a horse trail without her cellphone or anything else but her keys, Josephine had to be on the beach first the same way as well.

Neither one happened, but silent ex's staged it anyway.

Police: Keys found on beach belong to drowned Lauderdale woman
By Sofia Santana
South Florida SunSentinel
August 28, 2008

A set of keys found in a bag on a beach belong to a Fort Lauderdale woman who went missing and later was discovered dead in the ocean, police said today.

Although police have not officially determined whether Josephine Frenna's death was accidental, the finding of the bag suggests that she could have gone for a swim in the ocean before she vanished.

But Frenna's family held a news conference today to dispute that.

"There is no way that Josephine went into the water of her own volition," family friend Steve Stabile said at the condo building along Galt Ocean Mile where Frenna lived.

A woman who works at a condo building near Frenna's gave the bag to detectives on Wednesday, saying she found it at the beach over the weekend and at the time was unaware of Frenna's disappearance, police said.

You called that one- rd

Let's hope the killer is found- quickly. And we have an idea of who he is-

It's so hard to take all these murders.

The world seems to be spinning out of control- all over.

Yesterday at work, someone pulled a gun on a co- worker. In June- a man at my workplace threatened to go home and come back with a gun and blow everyone away. Both ended up in jail and jobless but it's hard to
cope with this kind of behavior in the workplace.

I strongly suspect that someone at work tampered with my car (again). Long story, but this is the 4th problem in 2 months- it's wearning on my nerves.

Palpatations and all that.

Beefing up the resume and hoping and praying...
