Well, they may be asked sooner rather than later.

They were protected by the typical Washington establishment, the ones citizens love so much, until now.

Alleged Madam Can Distribute Records
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
July 5, 2007

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A woman accused of running a prostitution ring in the nation's capital is free to distribute thousands of pages of phone records after a federal judge lifted a restraining order on Thursday.

U.S. District Court Judge Gladys Kessler's order granted the request of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, 51, of Vallejo, Calif., to quash restrictions by government prosecutors that prohibited her from giving away the list.

''As a result, Jeane has determined to release those records under certain conditions to qualified individuals or organizations,'' wrote her attorney, Montgomery Blair Sibley, in an e-mail.

Palfrey and her attorney have said the list contains up to 15,000 names and could shake up Washington by revealing high-profile individuals.

Prosecutors had won two temporary restraining orders to prevent her from distributing the list, first to preserve its availability, and then to prevent the harassment of potential witnesses through its distribution.

But prosecutors' arguments did not hold up, the judge ruled. The availability of the list is not in jeopardy and it was not seized or listed with her other assets that were subject to forfeiture, Kessler wrote.

Freezing ''the personal property of an individual, not yet convicted of any crime'' would be an extraordinary step, the requirements of which government prosecutors failed to satisfy, the judge wrote.

I downloaded the twenty files from http://www.deborahjeanepalfrey.com/

Kudos to Jeane for making these available. She says, from her site:

Deciphering this voluminous amount of data – some of which is well over a decade old will not be an easy task. Frankly, this likely is understating matters. It will take a small army of people skilled in computer and phone technology, investigation as well as factual knowledge regarding the significance OR non-significance of identified persons. No one individual or entity will be able to connect all of the dots. The overall endeavor easily could take many months, if not years to research and report conscientiously.

Thanks RD for putting the phone records on your site. Its important to have them archived somewhere while they are fresh before someone starts tampering with them.

I downloaded them a few weeks ago and spent some hours trying to link any of 'em. Most come up 'unlisted or unavailable'. I hit on a few that have already been made public by using the Senate and Congressional prefix's. Otherwise there are a lot of hotels in the region.

I tried Chandra's old landline at the Newport, just in case. I went through the 2000 and 2001 files and it does not come up. For research purposes, in case I missed something, that old number was (202) 822-3880.

I agree with Wheeler that the type of person who would conspire to murder Chandra would likely be somewhere in the voluminous records. But then again, he might also be in the DC phone book for all the good that does. Still, there is hope...

Glad to see you again, old friend. (well, maybe not that old. :) Yes, we have lots of interesting research ahead of us, that's for sure.

May not find anything, but we won't know until we look, you're right about that.

Interesting theory...

Could Chandra have been a call girl? Probably not, they would have found evidence of that - not to mention she had wealthy parents, a job, and a wealthy lover...

Though, on the other end, I think America is very very naive about prostitution. What we think of prostitution really accounts for about 5% of it. Street hookers.

Think people would be shocked at how many "Good Girls" go to college and get sick of living off an allowance that barely lets them go anywhere, or working for nothing at a fast food restaurant. 70% of prostitution is done by 20 year olds through escort agencies.

Strip bars as well, but that industry has changed as well as escorts. It's not the proverbial waif thin heroin addict...Escorts agencies and high class strip bars keep out the sleaze...They want the top notch girls so they audition them and drug test them.

A "Good Girl" can easily make $600 a night turning two tricks and have plenty of cash for the month. Going rate for a high class call girl in DC is $300 an hour. Strippers usually turn to escorting cause what they make in six hours on stage they can make in an hour.

The DC Madam's girls were definitely in the "good" girl category. But Chandra's phone records have been examined closely, and her calls to Condit's message line frequent, calls involving unknowns just not there.

But speaking of which, mm, note the DC phone numbers forums that you can see. The basics are set up, I've got to put some more time into researching the data, and see just how "good" the information is.

The Sleuth at the Washington Post is reporting that Deborah Palfrey's trial is scheduled for April 7. As Palfrey points out, no one but her is being charged with anything, including Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) who was a multiple repeat customer.

Customer of what? He claims massages, so does she, in the realm of fantasy role playing, but he's in Congress and we saw with Congressman Gary Condit how they get protected.

I hope the jury sends an appropriate message to what passes for a US government with their verdict.

D.C. Madam Announces Her Own Trial

The "D.C. Madam" who ensnared Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) in her den of iniquity, so to speak, is finally getting her say in court. Unfortunately for her, a full trial is scheduled for April 7th in U.S. District Court in Washington, according to an email the so-called madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey, circulated to her email list Thursday.

(snip)

Palfrey is facing federal charges of racketeering, money laundering and conspiracy, accused of running a prostitution ring that netted more than $2 million over 13 years.

In her email Thursday, Palfrey continued to defend Pamela Martin & Associates as a legitimate business.

"Without doubt, I am in the fight of my life," Palfrey wrote. "Unfortunately, the Government will not capitulate, nor will I in this extremely bizarre case; one, where no person other than myself -- including all former clients and escorts -- is being charged with any crime here. Technically the Government has been successful in making the charges against me work on paper. As a result, I have no choice-- nor have I ever had any alternative -- but to fight on and clear my name via the facts of the case, particularly since -- if convicted, federal sentencing guidelines allow for a maximum sentence of 55 years imprisonment."

Palfrey says "realistically" she would likely receive only "8 to 10 to 15 years" in prison but still, she said, at her age -- 51 -- "such a harsh penalty would be tantamount to a virtual life sentence -- stripping me of some of the most productive years remaining in my life."

Vitter was spared the embarrassment of having to testify in the D.C. Madam case when U.S. District Judge Gladys Kessler cancelled a scheduled November 2007 hearing at which he was to describe what exactly transpired as a result of his phone calls to Palfrey's escort service. Vitter's phone number appeared six times on Palfrey's phone records between 1999 and 2001.

Here are some of the questions being asked regarding the suicide notes:

Palfrey "Suicide Notes" A Contradiction In Terms
DC Madam allegedly wrote that she would leave prison "penniless" despite prospect of multi-million dollar book deal and Hollywood movie
Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet
Monday, May 5, 2008
|
Deborah Jeane Palfrey's alleged suicide notes were released today and given full court press by a corporate media that largely refused to cover her statements that she would never commit suicide and the statements of her friends and family who said she wasn't suicidal, but Palfrey's alleged reason for killing herself, that she would be "penniless" upon leaving prison, contradicts the fact that a multi-million dollar book deal was in the pipeline.

The alleged suicide notes are very short (the one addressed to Palfrey's sister is little over 4 small paragraphs) and written in all capital letters.

According to the alleged suicide notes (PDF link), Palfrey wrote to her mother that she could not "live the next 6-8 years behind bars for what you and I have come to regard as this 'modern day lynching,' only to come out of prison in my late '50s a broken, penniless and very much alone woman."

(Article continues below)

Firstly, Palfrey's supposed fear of spending 6-8 years behind bars does not correlate with the expectations of the vast majority of legal analysts who expected Palfrey to receive a sentence of 2-3 years.

Just a few days before her death, Palfrey herself, "Said she was preparing for federal prison. She hoped she'd get time off her sentence for good behavior. She thought she might buy a place in Germany one day," according to Baltimore Sun report, who noted that the DC Madam was "musing about her future" and had apparently come to terms with the fact that she would be returning to prison.

Secondly, Palfrey's fear that she would be "penniless" upon leaving jail does not correlate with the fact that she was in line to make millions for a best-selling tell-all memoir that was in the pipeline, not to mention Hollywood movies, documentaries, speaking tours and TV guest appearances.

Even establishment media mouthpiece The Washington Post conceded that, "There would have been book deals, movies, forgiveness, VIP tickets to charity balls," upon Palfrey's release and that she would not have been shunned.

Or as the Gun Toting Liberal blog put it, "Hollywood and book deals were waiting to transform her into a MULTI-MILLIONAIRE for spilling her guts," adding that Palfrey would spend three years in a “country club” in exchange for never having to work another day in her life.

An interesting coincidence could be derived from Palfrey's alleged use of the term "Exit Strategy," a phrase with connotations of the Iraq war, to describe her suicide in the note to her sister. Palfrey had previously named retired United States Naval Commander Harlan Ullman, author of the "shock and awe" combat strategy, as one of her clients.

As Alex Jones has discussed in the past, political assassinations made to look like suicide are sometimes covered-up by forcing the victim to write a suicide note under threat of harm coming to their family.

In another development, a ruling issued today by the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiners Office concluded that Palfrey's death was a suicide.

The Tarpon Springs, Fla., Police Department tells reporters that it didn't find any evidence that "would indicate anything other than a suicide by hanging in this case," reported USA Today.

However, with both Palfrey's condo manager Joseph Strizack and her own mother clearly indicating that she was not suicidal and that Palfrey feared that a contract had been put out on her, in addition to the multiple on-the-record statements Palfrey made indicating she had no interest in killing herself and warnings that if she was found dead to suspect murder, an exhaustive FBI investigation and one that lasts longer than a few days should be demanded.

Hi Rainbow,

Thanks for putting these articles up.

Dr. Jon R. Thogmartin, the Medical Examiner for Pinellas County or one of his staff did the autopsy on Jeanne Palfrey:

Support Staff:

Noel Palma, M.D., Deputy Chief Medical Examiner
Susan Ignacio, M.D., Associate Medical Examiner
Chris Wilson, M.D., Associate Medical Examiner
Wayne D. Kurz, M.D., Associate Medical Examiner
William A. Pellan, Director of Investigations

Thogmartin and his staff are also the ones who determined that Terry Schiavo was a vegetable and "blind" despite the video we saw. Thogmartin is also the one who agreed with corrupt Medical Examiner Charles Siebert that the little boy who was beaten to death at the Florida "Boot Camp" had actually died because of Sickle Cell Anemia. Well, perhaps the Sickle Cell trait along with A SEVERE AND BRUTAL BEATING could have side effects.

The one thing that argues against the theory that Palfrey was murdered is that she had already published a "complete" list of her clients and therefore the murderer would be foolish to draw futhur attention to himself.

Well, not if the client was not on the list and was Dick Cheney as reported by Wayne Madsen. Madsen has not heard from any of Cheney's lawyers yet which is the usual response to libel. It just strikes me as odd that Palfrey would do this to her mother. I don't buy the suicide. And Florida is full of desparate characters who kill people for money and then keep quiet about it.

Now would be a great time for George Soros or some other Gazillionaire to offer a reward for the truth.

Hi James and gang!
Thank you for replying to my posts. It's hard, indeed, to understand "some things between heaven and earth". Of course, we are all human and "see through a glass darkly". Even still, we press on, trying to make sense of events
In my opinion, Deborah Jeane's lawyer would be a good reference for her "state-of-mind", as well as any additional names, etc., which she may have originally with-held, in order to use as a bargaining tool in the sentencing phase of her trial.
As some of the people on her telephone list had "security" clearances, may be she was advised by them or the governmental agencies that they worked for, not to publish the phone numbers. Did she end up being "punished" for doing so or was she, herself, trying to inflict "punishment" on those who put her on trial, through the implementation of her own "exit strategy"?
