Just saw this announcement on the Jacksonville news of the missing endangered child alert for Alyssa Jacobs of Palm Beach Shores. That's the Palm Beach area of Florida north of Ft. Lauderdale.

Did a search and the Ft. Myers NBC-2.com has the details.

Alyssa has been missing two days now. They're moving quickly on her disappearance. This is a good thing. The most trivial possibilities of running away have apparently been considered and discarded.

And although the rest of Florida and the nation is getting the alert now, I'm sure the Palm Beach police have been looking hard for her much sooner.

I also saw on the Jacksonville news where a local cop here was arrested and charged with child pornography. They tracked him downloading pictures and videos of children and raided his home and found it all on his computers.

He faces over 100 years in prison, yet he bailed out. People like him and other men released from prison for sexual crimes and violent assault need to be tracked, both on bail and on probation. (see Track offenders with GPS recorders!)

Without recording their movements, the task of trying to figure out what perverts you have cruising around looking for their next victim is overwhelming.

It is time to overwhelm them with accountability, or as many cheap cells in the desert as it takes to hold those who roam anonymously to strike at their next victim.

I hope the next victim wasn't Alyssa.

Excellent, Alyssa has been found and we don't have another neverending mystery of a missing woman such as Stepha Henry who disappeared in Ft. Lauderdale (see Stepha Henry, 22, from NY, missing on Ft. Lauderdale visit) or Jennifer Kesse who disappeared in Orlando (see Blowup of Jennifer Kesse person of interest / suspect).

Good work by the police on moving quickly on this.
