Just like Hans child, Lisa's children finally spoke before the grand jury. How very sad as we have said before.

Grand Jury Hears From Lisa Stebic's Children
Authorities have finally heard from the 11 and 12-year-old children of a missing Plainfield, Illinois, woman when they testified before a grand jury investigating the disappearance of Lisa Stebic. The children's father had previously refused to let the children talk with police.
Mark Greenberg, an attorney and a cousin of Lisa Stebic, said the family was disappointed that the children had to testify in a formal grand jury setting, rather than at a child advocacy center.
"We did not want them to testify in front of a grand jury," Greenberg told reporters. "It's a difficult experience. It's in a courtroom. It's an official proceeding. It's a very intimidating setting. We wanted the police to be able to talk to the children. They were two of the very last people to see Lisa alive. We don't know what they know ... but police need every bit of evidence they can get."
Lisa and Craig Stebic were in the process of divorcing when she disappeared April 30. Craig has repeatedly denied any involvement with her disappearance. Extensive searches have found no trace of the 37-year-old mother of two.
Craig Stebic stopped talking with police after his attorney advised him not to talk to anyone without a lawyer present. Consequently, police consider him uncooperative. |
