Comment:
How very sad this poor woman has been missing for so long and had such a terrible marriage. I hope someone can locate more information on her and she will be found. It doesn't really look like the outcome on this case will be promising considering her husband may have killed his first wife.

Not A 'Sweet' Marriage
Lizzie Mae Sweet has not been seen since her house burned down January 8, 2007.
On January 8, 2007, police in Wayne County, Mich. responded to a house fire. The house on fire belonged to Lizzie Mae Collier-Sweet. Once the fire was out, authorities found evidence that proved this was more than just a housefire.
Officials found Lizzie Mae's car in the driveway with packed suitcases, and her upper dentures were found inside the house. Since that day in January 2007, Lizzie Mae has not been seen or heard from.
Cops said the fire was the result of arson, and think that Lizzie may have met with foul play at the hands of her husband, who she was planning to divorce. Cops and friends say that they fear the worst for Lizzie Mae, especially after her estranged husband, Roger Sweet, began to get himself caught in a twist of lies.
But one thing did survive the fire ... Lizzie's diary. And it would help cops lock up Roger Sweet, but not for her own disappearance.
Roger Sweet's Secret Life
In her diary, Lizzie May wrote about her failing marriage, and she blamed it on an affair Roger was having with their 19-year-old neighbor. But cops soon found out that this wasn't an affair. Roger was raping and assaulting the teenager, who was a mentally impaired girl.
Cops then asked Roger if he had any porn on his computer. Even though Roger said no, investigators found disturbing pictures of the mentally impaired neighbor involved in sexual acts and hundreds of pictures of child pornography that Roger downloaded off the web.
When cops realized Roger Sweet was a serious criminal, they began to suspect him even more of involvement in Lizzie Mae's disappearance. To find more clues, they decided to look into his past, and made a startling discovery.
Roger Sweet had been married once before, to Marlene Sweet, who died at the age of 38 under suspicous circumstances. Roger said that Marlene was an alcoholic and fell and hit her head on the bathroom floor, and the medical examiner originally ruled her death an accident. But even back then, people working at the funeral home noticed bruises on Marlene, and wondered if the death was not an accident. After Lizzie Mae's disappearance, the investigation into Marlene's death was reopened. Not long after, Marlene's death was ruled a homicide.
But What About Lizzie Mae?
Roger has since been charged with several counts of sexual assault and child pornography. He has also been arraigned on charges for Marlene's murder. Even in her absence, Lizzie Mae and her diary helped cops catch this sexual predator and accused killer.
But long after the tragic fire and her startling disappearance, there's still no sign of Lizzie Mae. No use of her cell phone, no use of her credit card, and she never picked up her last paycheck. Cops think Roger Sweet had something to do with her disappearance, but he's not talking. And those in Brownstown, Mich. are still left wondering: where is Lizzie Mae?
Comments: This Roger is a pig and it appears he made Lizzie vanish. I hope one day we find answers to where Lizzie is. Just breaks my heart how hard her life must have been and may still be.

No sign of Roger's second wife Lizzie who he probably murdered but the pig has now been charged with child pornography. Maybe, and hopefully he will receive the maximum sentence of 20 years. He is a vile man and the thought of him makes me want to vomit. Maybe one day we will know what happened to his wife Lizzie.

Child porn charges added against Sweet
Paul Egan / The Detroit News
A Brownstown Township man already facing state charges of murdering his first wife and raping a mentally impaired girl was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday on charges of producing child pornography.
Roger Junior Sweet, 58, who is already in custody on the Oakland and Wayne County charges, could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted of the federal charges.
Friday's indictment alleges that Sweet produced child pornography on four occasions between July 2004 and June 2005 by enticing or coercing an unidentified minor to engage in sex acts. In addition to the four counts of sexually exploiting children, Sweet was charged with possessing and attempting to receive more than 600 images of child pornography.
Sweet's second wife disappeared in January, leading Oakland County prosecutors to charge him with murder in the 1990 death of his first wife, Marlene Francis Sweet, whose death was initially ruled an accident.
