Saw this on Amazon today:

Tales from the Morgue: Forensic Answers to Nine Famous Cases Including The Scott Peterson & Chandra Levy Cases (Hardcover)
by Cyril Wecht, Angela Powell, Mark Curriden, Cyril H. Wecht

The School Library Journal reveiew says that

"In three instances, strong arguments are made that subterfuge was used to mask critical forensic evidence, and Wecht challenges authorities to reopen the cases."

I am sure Chandra's is one of the three cases. Heck, he wasn't even allowed to examine the remains.

In Chandra's case, it would be to open an investigation rather than reopen it.

Thanks, rd - I'll try & have a look at a copy of Wecht's book sometime and see whether Chandra's is one of those three cases.

I ordered the book. There are worst ways to spend money. If there is enough to dig on maybe I will send the author a letter.

So, what's the verdict? Is this case one of the three?

I think that the book I ordered was one that was stolen from me in the mail. I ordered it from Amazon.com. A maintenance man where I live found an empty Amazon.com cardboard shipping package and two other letters of mine on another part of the property.

I did not have any evidence to show what book was stolen, except I have never received that book.

I will order another copy, used if possible.

The time of my mail theft was about April 10, 2006
