Maryland – May 22, 2006 – The Maryland Missing Persons Network and the Missing and Exploited Children’s Association of Maryland (MECA), are announcing ‘Circle of Hope’ to remember Maryland’s missing persons. This event will be held in Annapolis on Thursday, May 25th, 2006 between 6:30 – 8:30 p.m, at Lawyer’s Mall. May 25th is National Missing Children’s Day. We are asking for the media’s help in publicizing this event so that families of Maryland’s missing persons will know of this to attend.
The keynote speaker for this event will be John Lyon whose two daughters, Kate and Sheila Lyon, were abducted in 1975 from Wheaton, Maryland and who have never been found. Delegate Jean Cryor (District 15) will speak on recent legislation change in Maryland involving missing persons. The event will also have families of Maryland’s missing persons sharing about their missing loved one, and will end with a candlelight vigil in which names of Maryland’s missing will be called out. _________________ Maryland's Missing persons
