Here is one quote from the Post story that I just have to throw in somewhere, without too much comment.

>>>Investigators have yet to determine a motive for the killing,<<< no comment.

Here is something I don't know if anyone mentioned, the Levys have a new attorney.

>>>Levy's parents, Susan and Bob Levy, are planning a quiet remembrance for their daughter this weekend, friends said. In the months after their daughter vanished, the Levys were mainstays on network television shows. Now, said Susan Anthony, a spokeswoman for the Levy family's new attorney, Steve Mandell, the family is "certainly trying not to be in the limelight."<<<

Someone to write to maybe. Maybe even send a book to. That might be also a way to reach the Levys.

yeah, I bolded it, benn. I was unable to locate the likely attorney Steve Mandell listed as the new attorney. Maybe someone else will have better luck. I located one in the phone book in the DC area but his business phone was disconnected.

Has anyone found anything in the Modesta Bee or anywhere else? I haven't been able to. I'm very surprised that her hometown newspaper would totally forget her. Actually, a little angry.

I was stunned yesterday when I not only couldn't find a link to a story on Chandra, I saw no mention of Laci either.

The quote in the Washington Post of a Modesto Republican leader was "No one cares about Condit and Chandra anymore".

I rather think people have a lot of interest in it, but Washington bureaucrats have stonewalled this from the beginning, thus there is nothing to report. That the murder investigation was stonewalled is apparently outside the purview of reporters; it's analysis, not news. It requires a book or magazine article to make that analysis, then it's news.

We have supplied the news factor for the reporters to report with Murder on a Horse Trail.
